i'm just saying what i hear commonly among spear and glaive players ... "heuksal chains are waste of time and sp ... cuz it takes too long to complete and the move can be canceled half-way by KDs, stuns etc ..."

against pvE you are wrong:
with the possible crits you can out damage people using soul spear easily,
and it gives a higher chance of dealing a bad status(for ints, dealing cold is really useful)

shura/dragon for pve (aoe damage 
)
nachal/pluto do more damage but only to one target
i think you should get lvl 1 of both nachal and shura and think which you like better
