ok so i made a wizard sub cleric lvl 70 my build is hybried 1STR & 2INT.
i was thinking about making a new player but this time i might for 85% magic balance
and sub bard.
i was planing to cotinue my character and just put int from now on but i calculated
that at lvl 100 i would only 81% of magic balance.

i know what some of you might be thinking thats stupid to make a hybried wizard. but with
85% or more magic balance is good because i gain 15% of magic balance or more with full pimp gear.
with 9 degree blues i gain almost 20%.

so yes hybried for me is good.

so the question is should i start a new character. or continue my first one.

if you put all int till now to lvl 90 you will have 81% mag balance, if you
put all int till lvl 100 you will have 82% mag. balance.
So if you want 85% you will have to start over...

Start over. As you are mainly a wizard, go pure int. More HP is not worth it for a wizard/cleric who can not tank and has a 15s pot delay. More damage is the best way, therefore pure int is the best way.

Yeah wizards that aren't pure int are terrible. Restart. You could pfarm yourself a new char though if you have 2 computers. Ongs ftw.

Restart and go pure int. Even though I went hyb, I can't see putting THAT much str into a wiz/cleric...pure cleric, maybe. Even then...he'd never attack or pvp.

start all over a new player. i all ready calculated how much exp i need

Just pfarm yourself a character using two computers. If you don't have two computers then just level up a new Pure INT Wizard.

why is everyone talk about pure int why cant it be 90% magic balance? atleast.

Because unlike Chinese characters who have both physical and magical on their weapons, Euro characters have one or the other. It's certainly doable to go hybrid, but you have to weigh the positives and negatives carefully.

I am a cleric/bard hybrid int (some STR) so my focus will never truly be on PvP. Survivability in a party so as to assure survivability of the party members is what I am after, so the build works for me. However, others prefer doing more PvP, so they go pure int. A wizard is designed to be the ultimate damage-dealing class, therefore the recommendations to go pure int as less int = less damage output, and in a wizard's case, the extra HP for the most part will not make a difference in PvP, or PvE. The objective is to kill mobs/players before they have a chance to attack you.

90% magic balance isn't great for a Euro wiz imho. With all the blues on my equipment, I am trying to make 105% mag balance when I am 90 (IIRC, max is 117%?), so I am still capable of dealing good damage and my healing spells will not suffer that much. I don't know of many hyb int wizards, so for all we know, you might have a good build; based on what I've seen I'm not so sure.

I say keep going, but keep your cleric mastery up with your wizz so you can wear light armor and have the cleric passive for light armor.

but i got the idea of a 1STR adn 2INT hybried wizard from my friend
his also one and let me tell you he rocks not same damage as pure int but still rocks.
im going to continue my hybried and keep him at 80% magic balance just for a lil more damage

With that str you added, you think you will have more survivablity against other players but you are wrong. Pure int chars are damage dealer chars, and by adding str to your char which has no phy att power, you are sacrifising the damage on your enemies.

yeah ... go pure int. i find pure int getting 1-hit less embarrassing than hybrid wiz getting finished off by the wolf or chinese bow's hawk.

thank you for the guide man but i dont want to d-lvl all my wizard skills just for bard. for that i just start a new player. but i was thinking about doing the same as the guide an make a new wizard. but i think i might stay with min and adding int untill 80% magic balance. just got to keep a pimped out gear and good my damage will be better

whats the point of going 90% and lost some dmg..u will die EXTREMELY easy with that too...go full int... /end of story

well dude i knowned some people that went 90% magic balance. and they still have the same damage as a pure int you only gain about 800 more hp total witch is nothing. and if you go hybried is better to have cleric.
