Am I doing something wrong?
I'm lvl 16 48% with highest mastery at lvl 12, have a nice set of equipment (no sos though) and I have just under 100k, I'm also a blade/fire user.
The damage I do on each hit is around 60 each time but, other poeple at level 16 say they do damage in the 100's.
Have I done something wrong?

the damage isnt THAT far down... but its noticable.
Good point, hadn't thought of that.
What sort of skill lvl's would you need to be doing that sort of damage at lvl 18?

If you want higher dmg then get a sword and put more sp on your fire mastery.
also use lightning (excpet the top/1st tree, since your using fire and it has more dmg..puttin sp on lightning's 1st tree is pointless)
If you have more INT then you better get a sword and put more sp on fire/lightning masteries.
If you have more STR then you better stick with blades and make yourself a STR char and put more sp on blade/sword masteries.
If your hybrid(STR=INT) then you can either keep being a hybrid or just start raising your INT/STR.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep persevering. I'm doing a hybrid that's mainly STR. It was just getting frustrating at watching glaive and some bow users kill in 4 hits when I take 12-14 (white tigers).
However, chatting to a few people yesterday, I found that a number of people are still wearing lvl 16-18 gear (not weapon) but are up to lvl 24 (apparently they just hadn't got around to upgrading!!), which makes a big difference on the hit damage.

lol true true....only one little problem :/ he said he has around 100k which means he can lvl dwn around 3 lvls and barely have any money left..its expensive to lvl dwn your skills even i dont do that
so i wouldnt suggest him to waste sp on spear/bow

Thanks, but Im going to continue hacking and slashing with a sword, it's not that bad. It might take a little bit longer but I'm not in any rush.
As this is my first character I don't think I'll be staying with it for the long run. It's more sort of finding out about the game, which I've done lots of already.

Didn´t read all the other replies, but you can also farm at lvl 21 (with your skills at 12 at normal bandits.
You´ll get lower sp, but on the other hand the drops are better.. in other words you make more money. Also the fact that sos lvl 16 bows are just increadibly expensive.
If you just started this game like you said you might as well not farm at all.. and just have fun. If you start a new char less time will be `wasted´, and if you stick with it you can always farm at the cap.
