My situation, everyone please help me out.

Basically. Lets start off with my character.
I'm a FULL STR Archer. I am going Pacheon/Cold/a bit of lightning
I am level 16.
I started Sp farming at bandit archers and i take 3-4 hits to kill them, sometimes 2 hits.
I am finding it really tedious, i have at the moment 1100 SP at 10% level 16. (Is it about right?)
I just need all your comments on what i should do, i feel like quitting the game as it is too much grinding (i know its cuz im sp farming but if i'm gonna play i want to be a good player).
So some questions:
1) how much sp do i need before i can stop farming?
2) whats the best ways to make gold at my level?
3) is my amount of sp right for my level?
4) any other comments, anything at all is appreciated
This is a serious post, please do not flame. Ty

First let me say this, if this is your first time in SRO don't SP farm. Get out there and enjoy the game, than if you want to you can go back and SP farm.
1) Go into the guides section and use the SP calculator to see how much SP you are going to need. My suggestion is farm about half of that and get the rest through lvls.
2) Kill Green monsters, they have a better drop rate, then stall not NPC all your drops. (except any alchemy items, break down the byproducts and keep the elements NPC the tablets except for maybe INT, STR, and HP maybe MP too but thats pushing it.)
3) Yea, if you are fullfledged SP farming your gunna be deleveling so It don't matter.
4) As said above.

I have been exactly where you are now. I realized I had to 2 options. To quit farming or quit playing. I decided to quit farming, and have been happy playing ever since. You can always farm at any level, don't worry about it.

i think S1cKn3s5 answered you just abotu perfectly. farming takes dedication. LOTS of it. i know people who have farmed 100k SP. they're set for life after that, but it takes a lot of dedication aand patience. if you want gold, you can sell EVERYTHING. while farming, all you need is a good weapon and soe halfway decent armor. the rest is trivial. you don't need any alchemy stuff (though i would recommend keeping weapon elixirs, you can NPC the rest), any clean or white gear can e NPCed once you have a decent set. green mobs will give you the best chance of drops because you can kill them quickly. what weapon are you using? if you aren't using a bow, i would recommend you get a decent one. start saving up your gold for an SoS bow (you';ll need anywhere form 2-5mil), as it will make your farming MUCH faster.
hope this helps.

^^^^^
i think i should stop farming right now then. I have like 100k max with everything sold. No wonder im taking so long to kill the bandits -_-

Okay see
Most farmers are people who "rerolled" their character. Like one friend. He had a pure int 3x. He hated INT cuz he died all the time, and never had a drop of SP to spend.
But, he already had $$ for a nice farming bow.
Thats why sos, sosun, and +7 low level bows are so desired.
Because of the exact misery you describe.
How many SP? Most people shoot for 60-100K nowadays, depending on how patient they are.
This takes 3-4 weeks of bandit den, and deleveling =/
I agree tho. Farming BLOWS.
I do it on and off but, I have no choice. I'm one of those people who never have a drop of SP

farming in the bandit den taking 2-4 hits to kill sumpin is too slow to really farm, just go on with a 2-5 lvl gap and you should be fine for a while

on my new char, I farmed to about 2500, then brought the gap from 9 to 4. Then lvled, and then farmed again, while lvling, till another 2700. Then at lvl 22, brought everything to 20. I still had 600 sp left. Now at 23, nearly 24, I have 1300 again. So you can farm and lvl at the same time

Wow, that is such a good idea Tatianasaphira! When you said you kept a 4 gap, then farmed again...did you keep the 4 gap while farming again or went back to 9?
Also, what skill trees were you using?

it is possible to play SROi without heavy SP farming. just be sensitive to how much SP you really want...
The only reason you might want heaps of SP is to build a really powerful character. This isn't absolutely necessary to enjoy the game, unless alll you do is pvp.
Of course, if your character is not super powerful, you might have face more of a challenge in doing trade runs and so on, but probably not significantly more because no matte rhow much SP you have, it is likely you will meet player so fmuch higher level than you anyway....
so maybe if you just go out and experiencce the world of SRO in its entirety more. So maybe all you need is enough SP to go exploring in the regions that matter. After all, in any real world, not everyone is going to be super powerful.

Thank you to Dynamo for posting the question. I'm in exactly the same position and was about to ask myself.
Now I'm just going to drop the gap to 3/4 and have some fun. If my character sucks in 6 months who cares, I've of still enjoyed myself. Life is about having fun and being the best usually means you've sacrificed the fun to acvhieve it.
I'm lvl 16 48%, a nice set of equipment (no sos though) and I have just under 100k. At what level can you expect to become a millionaire?

just keep a four level gap and youll be fine...
just make sure you are COMPLETELY SURE that you want a skill... dont just waste SP on a skill that sounds cool...
