Okay this is really pissing me off. I currently have a lvl 83 Wiz/Cleric and i LOVE it but one thing i can't stand is SPEED! I am as slow as a turtle when i am out training alone and was highly considering switching my cleric to bard. I want to know if anyone here has a Wiz/Bard and how thats working out for them. If I was a Wiz/Bard and training at Roc. Mtn on mobs my lvl will i get raped or will I do okay? And when fighting a Giant my lvl will i die easily?

maybe u cud use speed potions..no point dlvling all ur skils for just speed lol and as stated b4 this is the wrong section.

is it just me or has SRF gone to shit? every post i see its always hey look no yellow boxes! or wrong section. or yeah nightbloom bots, SO WHAT! Its either u got a decent reply to a post or ur just doing every little effort to raise your post count up, seriously. makes me sick that half, if not all u are playing with no yellow boxes. im out, say whatever u want. go ahead LOCK/SPAM/MOVE/IDC.

Stick to your build ... With cleric u can bless and RD and they safe your life ... Use drugs of wind 50% speed or moving speed scrolls ... If you were farming boxes last event u should have collected many many moving speed scrolls So just dont switch to bard

Switching over is pointless, it will take you a lot of time, money and sp. All you need to do is buy speed scrols, or make drug of wind. Stick to your build it is way better.

My advice would be to NOT delevel...

Cleric is more useful than bard EXCEPT for speed and noise. However, you can always buy speed...you can't buy bless (well, sosun you can...but you know what I mean)...

Stay with cleric and buy scrolls (50% speed scrolls) or buy speed potions. There's no point in spending all that gold and sp on bard skills...You might as well just re-farm a character. =/

At least those are my 2 cents. Tell me what you plan to do, I'm curious ^^

im wiz/bard and I wish I was cleric instead of bard
why? because cleric is a whole lot more useful and you will usually be more appreciated
bard is only fun for the speed (which cleric can buy) and noise
in most cases you wont have another bard always playing with you - that is the only condition when it really makes sense to play bard because of the dances

Im wiz/bard and i have no problems with normal mobs but giants.. i can kill them if fear succes, if not than i run. You will regret if you switch to bard from cleric.

The only way of not regretting anything is by doing what you prefer. If you prefer more survivability then go cleric (though imo going cleric you'll still die easily in pvp, cleric will mostly help only in pve), but if you prefer speed go bard. I'd personally choose bard over cleric for a wizard.

I had a wiz/bard before. It was a great build, but I got bored of it at cap because I died so easily in PVP. Wiz/bard makes grinding easier, but that's about all it can offer you. Cleric will offer a lot more for wizards in the long run.

I don't think that cleric offers very much in PVE. You can kill giants without having a cleric sub. Just cast fear and use knockback. Bard helps in PVE much better than cleric, because you'll be able to kill faster and not have to worry about being mobbed. Whereas cleric, you'll have bless spell and RD for giants, but like I said before, you can still kill a giant without them. Also, having to switch to your cleric rod every 5 min to buff yourself gets annoying.

Since you're already cleric, don't switch. It might be annoying to always be on the lookout for cheap speed scrolls, but you could try asking friends with Chinese chars for them (like I do ). Assuming you are legit, you wouldn't use up too many speed scrolls/pots anyway. As another poster said, you can buy speed, but you can't buy bless/heals.

With bard sub you might be able to kill 1 giant, but what if your charged wind/squall aggros other mobs, or if there are two (or more) giants? With cleric you can put your shield on, heal and buff yourself, and either use cleric skills to kill them, or run for your life with your buffs/heals to keep you alive while fleeing.

It also helps much more in pvp, but people don't believe wizards can pvp 1 v 1 fairly no matter what I say, so I won't go there.

If you are really poor and can't afford to buy speed scrolls/drugs, you can try going 20 bard (30% speed), which you can delevel once you cap. Then you could still have an okay recovery division and heal cycle.

I think you should stick to Cleric, you can use other methods to get speed that previous posts pointed out.

And about people pointing out the wrong section? If you post in the right section maybe you'll get more answers? Dont get mad because someone points out the obvious.

Anyways, on topic:

I kind of prefer wiz/bard, you don't need to run from agro mobs (just don't forget champs and gigs can atack you) and which will help you alot.

^ I agree. In my opinion wiz/bard > wiz/cleric. Also noise + moving march > any cleric skill for me. Even with bless spell when pvping wizards don't last long.

I don't think is worth it, but just incase you do it, here's a little help.
