Well, I still can't decide on a build to stick with. I've been experimenting with builds for several months, and I just want one build to take to 90 and stick with it. The problem is, I don't really know what's right for me. I know, sounds bad.



First I'll tell you what I don't want. I don't want a Chinese char. I've tried them, and I just don't think they're for me. I'm really not into tanks. I prefer magic or long range builds.

Now here are the things I'm looking for.

1. I want a build that is above average with damage. It doesn't have to be the most powerful build ever known to mankind, but I really don't want a build that does low damage.

2. I want a build that has a nice survivability rate. I don't want to run out of town, get to my grinding spot, kill two mobs and die because a giant spawned on my head. That gets frustrating.

3. A build that solos well but is also useful in parties.

4. A build that is unique. I like to stand out of the crowd.

5. A build that is decent with hunting uniques. I at least want to be able to kill every one ONCE.

6. A build that would own in CTF. I'm a CTF junkie. :3


I made a poll to narrow down the builds I have in mind. Let me know what you think sounds good for me.

the problem is that your so picky that nothing is going to be right for you. Any build can become an awesome build if you farm, get the best gear, and play it well.

#4 is nonsense, because if you want to stand out, you'd have to do something stupid like a str wizard or a int warrior. And all your choices are builds that will die quickly.

why dont you do warrior or rogue? that seems best for you

I know I'm picky, that's why I'm having such a hard time trying to decide on a build.

By standing out, I mean builds that not everyone and their grandmother plays. Builds that you really don't see all the time. And not all the builds I listed die quickly. Yes, they die but not THAT often.


And, like I said in my first post, I don't like tanks. It's boring, imo. Rogues are nice builds. I have one, but I don't know if I want to keep playing it. It's getting boring.

i voted for rogue/bard
just cuz they are amazing at pretty much everything but 1v1 pvp
but if you want a unigue build that could be decent at those would be a bardlock
i want to make one but dont have the time cuz im sp farming

yeaps
use warlock for stuns and debuffs then use the fastest attacks
my friend made a lvl 42 one and he sucks with it
i tried it out, it took me a while to get used to the playstyle but after that it was pretty good

there isn't going to be any unique builds, any combination of builds are going to trickle down until its roughly even among all players.

Also, any pure int build dies faster than full str builds. Yeah we all know wizards can take down mobs in only 2 hits, but they also die in 2 hits if you dont manage them well.

I don't know what to say, you seem to dislike all the builds. What level is your rogue? does it have xbow and daggar? Rogue is really boring until you hit 40 when you get new skills.

Oh. I already know how fragile wizards can be, but I still listed it as an option because I like its nukes. I've played a cleric before, too. I got her to level 40+, and the whole time, she only died once. Even I was surprised just how well she survived being pure int. The only reason I stopped playing her was because it was too slow to solo with just one nuke until 60.


My rogue is level 67. I just have XBow because I don't want both weapons. I think rogues are just fine with one weapon. I think a lot of the reason I find it boring is because it's getting slower to level, and grinding is getting repetitive.


I don't dislike all the builds. Each one has their pros and cons. I'm just having a tough time deciding which build I should stick with.




Warrior/Wizard? o.O I think I'll pass on that one.

if you could work the bardlock do it
im sure you would surprise a lot of people

Warrior / Rogue is solution to your problems ...

You should try bard/warlock or cleric/warlock, I'm pretty sure you'd like one of these, both are kind of unique by the way.

Either that or go for chinese.

well if u reconsider ur tank policy then maybe 1h warrior with sub bard or wiz

or how about cleric/warrior or lok/warrior getting the blok passive of warrior and the shield kb skill that cud work i gess and be slightly unique
