Hey guys i just need your opinions on the best way to set up my glavie. I'm not sure what i need my masteries at i.e do i choose:

90 Heuskal, 90 Light, 90 Fire, 30 Cold

or is it something different?I'm PvP orientated aswell thankyou.

You'd do better with either 90heuksal/90fire/72ice/48light or 90heuksal/90fire/90cold/30light 1vs1 pvp wise.

What benefits do either give? i.e more defense for 90 cold, etc. Thankyou for reply.

-wear protector or garment make a lot of gold and upgrade to sun gear, +5 or better full 100% blue and 60% whites, no exceptions. sun defense>sun weapon
-get accessories full blue 100%, so you can be immune to all normal debuffs
-glaive +7 full 100% blue, whites 60% or better.. crit 80% or better, no exceptions.
-buy premium plus for extra bonus, get a lot of globals to shout your victories, or challenge other well known pvpers. avoid using vigors during 1v1 cape fights, or your reputation will sink.
-during job, use vigor grains, item mall scrolls and euros to buff you, go all out for the win.

-force gives u an incredible amount of damage, and reduces the attackers damage considerably. it also allows you to cure those nasty debuffs, like division and impotent, etc.. good against euros, good against bladers, good against other force users.
-Since bowers have high hp and just knock you back, you need to kill them quickly before they interrupt your skills. do this by using vital spots,reduce parry(rp) decay and division, and theyll die quick. in job, you will have the ability to ressurect your teammates, which will strengthen your attacking forces.
-against ints with snow shield, use rp division and decay, you will be able to break through their snow shield. use bloody fan storm against chinese, and bloody wolf storm against euros or multiple int attackers. use impotent to reduce their damage when needed. dont need reduce hit ratio against ints, use it against str users when necessary.
-against other glaivers who are not force, you are either equal or better. other masteries provide defense only, while force provides offense. ur impotent debuff will act as a defensive skill. and ur rp division and decay will act as your offensive skills. rp division and decay > cold buff/snowshield/parry from lightning.
-against warriors and rogues, debuff as usual and use soul departs for stun. unable to pot during stun, once they are stunned the probability of winning is reasonably likely. turn on firewall, to prevent from knockdown, and other debuffs. sprint assault and other attacks that stun(except warlock stun) will cancel firewall. it gives u a great advantage. ghost spear to counter long hard hitting attacks such as daredevil..etc. knockback cancels attacks. use shield switching techniques to maximize ur defensive capabilities.

-shield should be +5 or better, 18+ block, all other whites 60%+, full 100% blues, no exceptions.
-have a shield ready at all times, use it when you are knocked down
-use it in between attack skills
-use it whenever you are not attacking, aka walking/running/chasing.

-use drug of typhoon for speed.
-when you are at a disadvantage against 2 or more opponents, run away to split them up, then proceed accordingly.

i hav another question: can the debuff frm vital spots be clicked and removed as if it was ur regular buffs? cuz i read somewhere that it could be removed by clicking it... (forgive me if it sounds noob )

i think they removed that glitch

seem that is the best build for glavie now

90 ice fire heuksal and 30 light FTW

ice is useless for glavie
when u use snow shield u wont have enought mp to do any moves

Thanks for all the help guys, just one more question. I havn't set my attributes yet, so i can either go ieatpasta's pure str build (3rd or 4th post) or Barotix's 69:70 heaskal build. (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=95919). I don't have the time to make 2 different char's, i have tried to gather all the different reseach on the seperate builds, youtube movies, asking people in game etc, but now i need your opinions . So what would do better overall in pvp, ieatpasta's build, or barotix's build? Thankyou guys.

Do you seriously think that the only good thing about cold is the snow shield? Please, think again.

I believe both would do pretty good, but Barotix's build would do way more damage than a full STR one. If you are going 90heuksal/90fire/90ice/30 light then go pure STR. If you want to do Barotix's build, then follow his guide and do 90heuksal/90fire/60light/60ice.

I am going to create a Pure str glaive too.

I prefer ultimate damage instead of ultimate defence.

He needs to survive a lot in pvp and still be strong and fast in pve. What would be the best ?

You already answered your own question. Barotix's build would probably be the one for you.

It's not a mainly nuker build, nukes are just a support for that build (you don't actually need them by the way). In fact it's nukes will be way weaker than those of a nuker. It's a sort of heavy damage glavie build (though it uses spear). It has a very good amount of HP when compared to a nuker. I believe it's a pretty good build. Read his entire guide and you'll see.
