I used silk to test many different ways like...

90 Light 90 Fire 90 Pach 30 Cold (This build fails)


With the 90 Ice you get amazing physical defense and can tank any STR build for a long time, especially good against warriors. INT becomes the biggest problem but I +7'ed all my Accessory and that problem was solved.

The only build to beat it would probably include force, I never tested Force.

yeah i was thinking that too. but i hate moving slow.
do u buy DOW or DOT alot?

Im an Archer, 90 cold/fire/patch

and if u party alot... u get speed of bards anyway. .

You get used to the speed believe me, I normallt buy 50% and for jobbing etc the 100%.

You can't buy defense at NPC, but speed you can. Plus Light is useless to a bow. I tested so many builds and that one I mentioned beats all (Except maybe a force which I never tested.)

i can't elp my bow is only lvl 28 and 28 patch/fire/cold/light and 2 force lol

I'd prefer speed and phantom over defense, use your range as much as ya can ;d.

Very weak though, and most Warriors just Sprint Assault to you, then finish you off.

And I had people cry about me phantoming but ignore them, It's a skill use it as you will. They only have reason to moan if I go to safezone, I hate people who do that.

lol I got that plenty, but so, I wouldn't change my build because ppl whine. The end result is me with the advantage if they don't get to me.



It's not very weak, it's a little weaker defense ya, but it's not a major difference now is it?, and i'm sure if your just standing there even with ice a warrior will finish you off still, if only in an extra hit or 2, at least you'd have the possibility to phantom away. Knock back+Phanton ftw.

what about for 100 cap?

100 Pach 100 Fire 100 Cold. 30 Light is useless even at 90 Cap, so dropping it for 100 and gaining more defense is a bonus. I'm not sure a bower will need as much defense at 100 cap though when they can spam 5-6kb arrows.

totally agree with Dark, bow is not for tanking anyway range attack not suppose to stand there and spam skills. About those who call phantom = noob just ignore them since phantom is a part of the game and nobody said that you can't use it in pvp

Fire and Ice wall can be just as effective and It's not spamming skills It's using your head.

My 90 Ice 90 Fire 90 Pach 30 LIGHT PvPed a 90 Light 90 Fire 90 Pach 30 Cold numerous times and I'm not going to say I beat him everytime because I didn't. But the majority of the time I did. He was full+6 set and +7 bow in Garments (Bad choice for such little defense) and with that I even two shot him once xD

So basically all your saying is it's your preference, you just said you didn't win every time, so it's not very weak, and he has even les def for garment.

Thats all it comes down to, what you prefer, the battles depend more on gear anyway.

Go either

90 Bow 90 Fire 60 Cold 60 Light - Not as much farming, and with better phy def.

90 Bow 90 Fire 90 Light 30 Cold - More damage, more farming, less physcal defence.

90 Bow 90 Fire 90 Force 30 cold - Very nice damage with the debuffs (can kill people you couldnt kill with the other 2 builds), even more farming, still got snow, will have to use speed pots all the time, no ghostwalk.

Thats it really, i wouldnt recomend any other build.

As for 100 cap for me it will be:

100 Bow 100 Fire 20 Cold 80 Light - Still keep 20% snow for the added defence, and 80 light good enough not much difference compared to 100 light for a str.

it was gonna be 50 cold 50 light but the phy def drop from 60 to 50 cold it just isnt worth keeping cold below 60 for the phy def boost only reason to keep it is 20% snow thats good enough, and ice wall.

I would love a force bow this cap with 30 cold for snow - they do own, but next cap they will suffer defensive wise with the loss of snowshield completely.

Will also be making an armor set next cap if needed (as well as my usualy pimped garment set ) so that will offset the phy def deficiency when fighting other str, but doubt I will need it with the second kb. im sure my s/s int will use it though.

90 bow/fire/light 30 ice is more effective in jobbing, and since that is all i do when i log on, i don't really like pvp that much since it's a waste of pots and i don't find much fun out of it . Another reason is I don't have silk like other people to pimp my set so jobbing is the most fun i get out of sro

i like my phantom, and people always whine i run, but why should i care ?^^ not really my problem if they cant take a lose its like telling an int "OMG YOU USE SNOW YOU NOOB"...
bowers get range, i say > use it or make a glavier instead ^^

most warriors are noob, they only use 2hand, i can easely take two level 80 warriors if they only use 2hand anyway, so i wont need ice to tank one unless they got sun.
and, phantom is just the shit in pvp xD love it against glaviers or anything short range basicly
if your hp goes down a lil, and you get stunned or knocked down, you can just phantom away after > knock them back > strongbow (long range ftw, and chance on stun <3) and your hp will be all full again while your still taking down your oponents HP

its upto you in the end though ^__^

like lildevil said, this is what people call "work smart not hard". Phantom is also a part of the game, and one of the best move in light

Bow can either be a

turret: 90 pacheon/cold/fire 30 light
in 1 vs 1 you become invincible for the time you use a wall, and even without a wall you can take many attacks without hitting the ground.

Kind of a tank, but with range


or

lightfooted derogator: 90 pacheon/light/fire 30 cold
basically versatile in battle because of agility, range and higher damage
only prone against strength builds who get close enough to deal serious blows

Garment - 90 Pach / Fire. 60 Light / Cold.

Works well
