Xbow/bard lvls the fastest because you don't need very much sp.
But if you really want to go with daggers *even tho their worse for grinding* I'd recommend cleric for the extra buffs since DD takes away some of your defense.

DD takes away your defense almost completely (-75%), and cleric buffs wont make up for it, as their effect will be also lowered when you use DD.
EDIT: You could try rogue daggers with warlock sub. If you learn how to use it, it will be fun. Anyways I think you should go rogue/bard, don't care if your with xbow or daggers, as noise (from bard) will make 'aggressive mobs' (except for champions and giants) passive in relation to you.

I thought so.

*I edited my last reply instead of making a new post, because I didn't see you had answered while I was editing, or you posted exactly when I finished editing, whatever.

Bard sub is much better for pve and trading.
Esp. before lvl 40 and getting into parties is easier so you can leech sp/exp.
Also it makes it quite easy to solo.
Having noise and speed suits my style 'cos i'm impatient (run slow FTL) and I make trips to the fridge for cool, cool beer often so I can survive aggro areas without getting mobed.
BUT
pvp cleric is so much better.
Here is why.
Holy spell = warlocks/wiz/bard/cleric/ice now cannot freeze/fear/sleep/root you. How can you fight back if you asleep/frozen? you gonna lose.holy spell stops this.
Bless = massive def boost. even with DD on it makes a big difference. Even better with CE on as magical def is not cut and now that 40%phys cut don't seem so bad.
Recovery Div = constant hp topup anyone?
Healing cycle = boost hp for 16sec but can be tricky to cycle it right.
Flash = freeze your enemy run out of his range bang CE on and zap OR leave it off KD then daggers + DD + mortal wounds.
Absolute damage = for when someone is buffed too much.
Higher levels you get buffs that stay on when you switch weapons.
so all in all I would go cleric for pvp bard for the grind.
oh yeah 1st post too

For leveling purposes, go bard. That's what I went with and I do not regret it. However, I only went with bard because of party play. Get into a party as a bard, and you will grow fast. Don't think you can just sit there and do nothing in a party other then a guard tambour.
As a dagger/bard type rogue, I take full advantage of my bard skills. Sure you can choose to take another subclass, but that will change the way you play. Bard enhances a dagger user's ability. You can move target to target rather fast. I've done tons of different styles of pvp while using daggers, and I can hit my targets hard and fast. Take them out quick and move on.
But it truly depends on how you like to play the game. We can only tell you our experiences, but it is up to you on what type of player you are. Test some out or watch some others and see what you like.

These are just my opinions, I may be wrong:

That's true, but you'll most probably kill them before they can actually do those things to you. Except if its a warrior/warlock your fighting against (if it's a good one you very probably wont be able to kill him even with cleric sub).Bless = massive def boost. even with DD on it makes a big difference. Even better with CE on as magical def is not cut and now that 40%phys cut don't seem so bad.
Level 90 bless = Phy def power 1.325 Increase/Mag def power 2.119 Increase
with DD activated = Phy def power 331 Increase/Mag def power 529 Increase
and with CE activated = Phy def 795 Increase/Mag def 2119 increase, but with HALF HP.
I have noticed that bless has a effect that 'slightly' more than doubles your defense, so I'll say you have at lvl 90, Phy def 1.325/Mag def power 2.119 (you'll probably have more than this anyways, just as an example) With DD + Bless your TOTAL defense would be: 662 phys / 1058 mag def, which is more or less HALF of your normal defense. That's god damn low. Not forgetting that if you have more 'defense without bless' than I used in this calculation, the difference between your 'normal defense' and 'after DD + bless buffed' will be even higher (negatively).
My opinion: I say it'd be kinda of a waste to use bless while with DD on, though if you are using CE, it will probably help you more, though you'll have HALF hp. The only really good time I'd suggest using bless would be without DD neither CE.Recovery Div = constant hp topup anyone?
Healing cycle = boost hp for 16sec but can be tricky to cycle it right.
Flash = freeze your enemy run out of his range bang CE on and zap OR leave it off KD then daggers + DD + mortal wounds.
Absolute damage = for when someone is buffed too much.
Almost only useful against full ints, or against people with low total hp, as it has a long casting time, in my opinion.Higher levels you get buffs that stay on when you switch weapons.
You get bless at 24, healing cycle at 30 and recovery division at 40. I seriously doubt those are high levels.so all in all I would go cleric for pvp bard for the grind.
I would go warlock or warrior for pvp and bard or maybe warrior for anything else.oh yeah 1st post too

All in all a very constructive first post. Congratulations.

That's basically what I do. Right now, I'm 0 gapping rogue xbow with a bard sub. I think I'll have enough SP to keep my rogue skills up to date, and hopefully enough to level up noise and moving march.
I could open up to a 3 gap to get extra SP with still decent leveling speed. Then I'd have enough SP to level some of my dagger skills.
Either way, xbow for pve grinding, daggers for pvp.

for help on rogue/bard
at 90cap only cost 330k sp for xbow and the basic bard skills
i think a 2 gap gets you 300k sp or more
soo its easy
sp farm some early and then start lvling

I guess considering I don't PVP, daggers aren't that important, although I do use it as a backup if I run out of bolts.
I like bard for noise and moving march. I know speed can be bought, but I tend to not have a lot of gold.
