i did a test a few months ago about light mag dmg buff on a str chara...
Is that skill really important?
my test was whit a lvl 80 blader and i had light at 80.
So the mag buff was i think something like 17% i can be wrong about this but it was a friends chara so i didnt look into it so much..
anyway the test was on a mage and just used normal attacks no skills exectp imbue...
And to be honest..
I hit first whit imbue + mag buff and checked the dmg and it was aruond the same all the time(killied 3 mages)
then i hit whit imbue and no mag buff and really it wasent so much diff..
maybe 50 less in dmg..
So was it only me or have anyone else done a test like this and noticed that the only good for a str in light tree is the speed and parry?

well i have seen like 20 posts that the mag buff is good for str chars cuz of the help on imbue

yes, help, like you said +50 dmg at lvl 90
still, better than nothing

did you try attacking more then once because maybe you just got higher damage off one attack and lower damage on the buffed attack

you will only notice the diffrence on str chars because the mag defence of int chars is so high.. ^^

This was a test on pve not pvp so i cant tell there..
But if its so small on diffrence on a mob so i really dont think its gonna make so much difffrence in pvp there the target has alot more defence..

its a percentage change,

like Phix said: it won't change much because of that.

Ints on the other hand will recieve a much higher damage bonus because their mag. attacks are at least twice as strong as yours
