So I made a Bard. It got 440k sp so far. But the question is which sub should I take? I'm doubting between Wizard and Warlock (Is the grammar in that sentence right? I dunno.)

- Warlock seems like most fun to me.
- Where as Wizard is great at damage dealing, and I love high numbers in my screen

warlock seems a better idea since bard/wizard doesnt have any 'defense' skill, maybe beside the phy abso skill from wizard which wont be enough in pvp.

at least bard/warlock have hp leech and stun/sleep and debuffs to help you defend.

but why not bard/cleric?

That's also an option to go with yeah. Afaik Bard is awesome enough to solo with.

yes but for pvp and giant pt, having a sub like cleric (or even warlock but i prefer cleric) helps you stay alive for longer.

And as bard/cleric you become the ultimate buffer

Bard/Cleric is boring. Not enough attack skills to make up for the amount of sp you'll have to use. I'd go Bard/Wiz.

Group pvp is far from boring with it. Clericing is great fun and so is barding.

I'm making that. Got 40k sp from ongs, gonna close my gap and see how i like it. If it's good i'll farm the rest of the way at penons. It is the ultimate buffer. And if you do wiz, don't take area nukes.... kinda ruins the purpose of a bard, avoiding being hit.

I think I'll get Warlock as sub. I love the skills and I won't need cleric since I get HP Leech from Warlock. And TBH a Bard can kill giants/pt mobs also without cleric

i think that bard/lock is nice coz you can use the HP drain and debuff and stun and soo

if u want battle bard go cleric because u have good skills like healing, Bless Spell, Recovery Division... dont choice warlock if u want battle bard =P

I reconsidered, I'll take Bard/Cleric and make a Warlock/Cleric later (maybe =p)

bards and locks are alwayws needed in pt's i say go bardlock

bardlock good but recovery divison and bless spell are important skills and europe can have 2 masterys in max for what put only one =P

isnt a lot of sp coz he wont be warlockbard
he will be bardlock

in my opinion i prefer warlock multi skills no do not max the 1st dots/debuffs
is better save the sp`s for the skills lv 60+

Nah, if it's going to be warlock then it'll have the attacks also. and Warlock/Bard-Bard/Warlock is 700k sp farm at the ongs. Warlock/Cleric = 850k

u gonna use bard attacks right so dun go wiz cause then u will want to use wiz skils go warlock and lvl up debuffs and like stun etc that way u can stun and keep hitting them with bard skills

Bard/Cleric- Very useful in parties, soloing is somewhat slower, PvP is pretty good, killing giants/pt mobs is easy (if you can kill it under 45 seconds, after that it might be a little challenging)

Bard/Wizard- Great damage, soloing is very fast IF you are using wiz nukes, PvP is just 1 hit kill or get 1 hit killed, giants and pt mobs around your level are risky.

Bard/Warlock- Soloing is kinda fast, you get zerk very fast, PvP is excellent (if you know how to of course, don't think of powerlvling you char to 90 and trying to own in pvp.. lol). Giants/pt mobs aren't hard, but again, you have to be quick with your fingers, Trap+ sleep helps a lot. Debuffs help at killing giants too, aswell do dots and stun.

IMO Bard/Warlock would be the most fun to play with. Bard/Cleric can be fun too if there are a lot of parties in your server.

And to the people who say warlock can heal their own hp; there are only 2 skills that do that (afaik, dunno if there are more at higher lvls), and the hp recovered is very small. Its mostly used to get disease status on the foe.

Thx unbeatable But ehmm... Warlock/Cleric seems to be a fun build to play with too. (Srry for changing my mind every day, But I can't make a choice (yet))

RD only agros in a party, solo who cares, solo you can rd all you want and stand right next to a aggressive mob

that is if you are using noise (for the mob to not attack)

You ever think about noise? he is a bard.. Noise deflects Aggro.. Unless its Giant or Champ but still it would attack you without RD..

umm very wrong on ur part. when ur soloing you will DEFINATELY use RD and tambour. during a party you WILL NOT fill teh role of cleric AND bard. The entire point of adding cleric is for the bard's surviveability, not so the party can have a fake cleric....

It actually depends on your own choice of "FUN". What would be fun to use? leveling or not, it is what you would like to play in the game that matters.

bardlock
just cuz its actually unique and fun
grinding would be fast
and pvp would be sleep debuff and then bard nukes
dont forget they are the fastest attacks
and in FW if you have another bard you do dmg increase
im sure there will be a cleric in any situation you play in
its not hard to find one
sucks no one makes bardlocks or videos

Err, I dont see the point of using RD & barding at the same time?
you need to recast RD every 5 minutes, this means the dances & tambours going down every 5 minutes O.o

I would go bardlock because if you choose wizard you will probably finish playing wizard more then a bard. Bardlock is very good you can stun,debuff and then use fast nukes from bard but Warlock/cleric is even better choose,one of the funniest builds,can kill party mobs,giants, whatever he wants, and he really pwn in pvp only problem about him is big amount of sp needed.

Agree. Soloing is not slow though, you have high speed and sort of high survivability with fast casting bard nukes. This would be a pretty good battle bard, good defense, can ress, can cast bless, recovery division, healing cycle/orbit. This would certainly be a good choice for a battle bard.

I'd never suggest this for a battle bard.

Agree and this would certainly be a good choice. Warlock is really fun in my opinion.

I believe the hp you recover for a full int is pretty good, though for a str it's low. But I agree it's mostly used for getting disease.

Also, in my opinion bard/warlock would be more of a 1vs1 pvp battle bard, while bard/cleric would do better at group pvp. The best sub for your battle bard would be what you prefer/like. So, summarizing, the ones I'd suggest to you go for a battle bard would be either bard/warlock or bard/cleric.
