Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
Hi, my bard is my main. So i only want some skills in cleric. First off, which abs dmg is better, bard or cleric? or should i get them both? 2nd, I only want group healing, 1 good single healing ( for myself) and group res and reverse oblation, bless spell, holy word, and the int str buff. Can someone tell me which skills to get? I know the rev oblation, bless spell, holy word, and int str buff, but i can't tell which one to get for the others? Which healing spell is good for healing myself, and which is good for group healing. And should i get only group res or get single res too?

Anyone? I'm looking for an experienced Cleric. Which skills are necessary. I only want one fast 1-2 person healing skill, and the rest group. Don't want to farm too much, and if i should get both bard and cleric abs dmg skills or just bard.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
IMO:
Fastest and strongest single person heal is recovery (~4 second cooldown)
Fastest and strongest group heal is group recovery (~14 second cooldown)
However I'd recommend getting heal cycle/orbit as well or instead of the above. You should also definitely get recovery division if you plan to solo. I only leveled up reverse oblation, not single or group res, but that is because I train solo. If you're going to get int/str buffs you should also consider mag/phy def buffs.
As for absolute damage skills, from what I can see (I don't have a bard) the cleric ones are much harder hitting. They take 2-3 seconds to cast though.

Overhealing/Glut Healing I think are the same cooldown (don't have Glut yet) and it's about 6 seconds.
Justice Cross (not the abs dmg) is the quickest "nuke" at 3 seconds, Trial Cross (hits multiple mobs) is about 4-5 seconds.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
If you were doing over healing, glut healing, then over healing again, you would have to wait about 2 seconds before the 2nd over healing. Glut healing has a bigger cooldown, something like 15 seconds.
Anyway imo absolute damage should only be used in pvp against ints.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
Hmm So i noticed some cleric skill require Faith lvl X and others require Charity lvl x. So Do i have to upgrade charity/faith to get those skills? That seems like alot of wasted sp ><
Oh, and what's the best ( fastest and most hp ) single-2 person heal. I only want one 1-2 person heal and a group heal.

-Yes.
-Hm, I don't think there's a "fastest AND most hp", but I use Healing Cycle frequently (greatly increases healing rate over time) coupled with Healing Division (heals 2-3 people closest to you that need it). I rarely need to use a group heal unless the mobs are 9-10 lvls higher than the party, or if we're full up.
Both of those are quick cooldown heals. There is no "single-2 person heal", really. The one that's closest is Healing Division. However, that's fairly good at aggro, while Healing Cycle doesn't aggro mobs at all.
In terms of a group heal, you'll want Group Recovery at higher levels.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
So it isn't worth to get any of the other healing attacks? I've seen clerics do attacks where they heal themselves and another where they have a yellow ball that travels between them and someone else and heals.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
Well, the yellow ball you're referrring to *is* healing division, the one that heals yourself + 1-2 other people. It's also useful if you're soloing, a little less so than Healing Cycle because it does aggro. If you're not in a party, it heals you with no little balls traveling.
The single heal is somewhat more time consuming and only targets one person (it's the first heal you get). The cleric can use it on himself, too. It all depends on how much SP you want to invest.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
From what you have said, I assume that you will not be a full time cleric, in which case you should get heal cycle/orbit, which heal well (~3-4k every other second at level 72 - assuming you are pure int and have a good cleric rod) and last for 16 seconds. Heal cycle is single target, but the cooldown is about 2 seconds so you can cast it on multiple people very quickly. Heal orbit (level 80) will heal all your nearby party members for 16s.
The faith and charity passives are pretty much mandatory for a cleric. I think the only heal that doesn't require either one is healing breath, which is single target and not that strong. Also you mentioned earlier that you will get bless, and that requires the faith passive. Holy word and int/str buffs require charity.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
I want to be able to switch between bard and cleric depending on what the sit./party needs. I also want to be able to heal myself well in pvp since i heard clerics are hard to kill. Basically, it's my sub, but i want to be able to use it effeciently. So could someone give me the critical skills needed to be able to be an effecient healer? I always hated those useless clerics in pts where they just stand there and cast bless every few mins.
So far, I know i need rec division, healing division, healing cycle, all the int, str, phy, mag buffs, group healing, the abs dmg moves, all the res? Or should i just get the group res and rev oblation?
Anything else that would be good for a cleric to have?\
Also, Which is better for getting rid of bad status. I will only use sp on one. Cure Melody/Music from bard, or Innocent/Integrity from Cleric?

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
You said you didn't want to farm too much, yet you are picking lots of skills that will likely require farming.
Group healing: doesn't heal much and is redundant once you get heal orbit
Reverse oblation: definitely get
Group res and grad reverse: take long time to cast. If your entire party dies just reverse the cleric/cleric subs first, then they can help res other people
If you would like to get additional heals, get recovery (~8k hp at 72) and group recovery (I don't have it maxed but it heals ~7k anyway).

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
Well, this is my first euro i made alone. Friend gave me a delvled 75 wiz/bard. I'm not sure how far i'll go with it yet, but it has a little over 40k sp and i think i might close it and play to 40-50 to see if i like it. I didn't know group healing was useless. Never thought about that orbit thing. Hmm. I do remember some cleric skill where if i got close to the cleric my hp always stayed maxed. Group res seems useful in group pvp though. Sometimes you are the only cleric, and sometimes, other clerics are only subbed, or just idiots ><. I wanna be a good bard AND a good cleric. Unlike half the clerics i've pt with. If you get my drift. Always got annoyed when the cleric would only buff, than bless randomly and we'd all end up dead when a pt giant spawned and we got raped.

Re: Cleric Sub question with Bard main.
If you are the only cleric, chances are you will die because everybody will attack you. Anyway, if you are a good cleric your party mates shouldn't all die at the same time =x
Since you're wiz/bard how come you're asking about cleric? Are you going to powerlevel a char?
