The ice immunity thing was apparently fixed in the 90 cap update of kSRO, so it's no longer a percentage effect reduction, but a fixed reduction. This makes it possible for the ice blader to once again become THE most annoying PvP character. Especially an ice/force blader, who can use a high level Snow Shield.

is that true? that's a big thing and i dun remember seeing this being discussed. many players that opted fire over the other force trees will be hit hard. i was trying to get confirmation in this discussion but no one replied viewtopic.php?f=4&t=87653&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30

it also seems like fire shield maxes out at lvl 68 of fire mastery. this skill is of not much help anymore.

wow ... ice archers will be back ... they'd be hard to take down ... chance to stun, KB, freeze/frostbite ... how to get near them

WHY?
because you will get lots of extra defence from ice and 30% snow shield. 60 light you will get pretty good speed, magical increase and increased parry ratio, you need fire to do the best damage, and until level 60 you can use any imbue you want!, also if your fighting an ice archer, you can just ice nuke him to freeze or slow him down.

ok but why dont i just do 90bicheon 90fire and 90light and 30 ice then i get 20% snowsheild some defence and lightning for magical buff parry ratio and speed im a blader i dotn think i need more than 20% snowsheild

The most a pure str can use snow shield wise is 23%
Thats pushing it at times. TBH 20% is perfect. You can keep up 20% snow shield with ease. As for freezing, almost everyones immune.
The reason the fire shield stays at 68 is because it doesn't need to go up anymore. If it did go up anymore you wouldn't need the resistance on your gear. That way you have to put immunity on your gear as well. So really, nothing changes.

anyone who dosnt have 90 force as part of their plan for a blader dosnt know what their talking about. force debuffs combined with the new bicheon buff and the bicheon status dealing moves are gona make the blader into a killer as well as a tanker. Forget conventional builds and start thinking out of the box. 90Bich (for obvious reasons) 90 light (maj buffs, more consistand dmg than fire, speed advantages) 90 force (for healing, status removal, and most importantly debuffs) and then either 30 fire or 30 ice depending on your prefferance for tanking(ice) or high damage(fire) any other blader build will pale in comparison

30 fire for a pure str?
Whats up with so many people ditching fire for a pure str build. Fire is a must for a build. In every pure str build 2 things are required.
90 Fire
90 Blade/Glaive/Bow
TBH this is why new servers have bad reputation of bad chinese characters.
The rest of the mastery points is where the creativity lies. I have tried leaving fire low on my glaiver and keeping light and ice high and trust me it is horrible. Losing out on 18% dmg at 90 cap is a bad loss. I have also seen force/lightning bladers. The dmg of a lightning/force blader is not even close of a dmg output of a fire/force blader. Theres the difference between the two.
As for lightning being more consistent. The consistency of dmg is from nukes not from imbue. A pure str does not use nukes for serious pvp. Fire imbue itself always hits harder than light imbue. Nukes on the other hand are different.
