How often you CRIT depends on the weapon (and the skill -- Anti-Devil ) but the damage your CRIT does depends on your build ( pure STR, pure INT ).

'xactly. Anti-devil is the only skill that adds crit too, so its mostly dependant on the crit on your weapon.

Any weapon. Just need a bow to summon the hawk.

Edit: Criticals only work for anti-devil. I confused it with imbue.

er... tis is the first time i post so i do i say something wrong.... sorry ya? well i am a str archer focusing on cold, fire n lightning. i am now lvl 34 with all masteries on 31lvls. currently i have max anti devil bow, arrow combo, hawk traning, break heaven,explosion arrow, frost guard, windwalk, piercing force, fire force, flame body n finally fire protection. so my question is how do continue to get more skills? means i nid to farm rite? but almost all my fren tell mi to just make sure got 3 lvl gap which is enough. my current sp onli 600++ which means i cant add all masteries up. haiz... i am so lost... dunno wad i should do. can give any ideas? btw, did i mess up my skills? adding anything useless or didnt anything useful?

Looking good so far. With 3 masteries, SP shouldn't be a big problem. However, you may need to farm eventually if you want to max out all your skills.

is it advisble to go 2:1 bowman?

It's up to you if you want to go hybrid. IMO, hybrids should have awesome gear to compensate and boost their physical/magical balance. I suggest you put as much into STR as you can though, to keep criticals high.

Im a lvl 13 archer and have pacheon level 12, anti devil bow lvl 4, 2 arrow combo lvl 2, summon white hawk lvl 1, along with me having some heuksal skill cause i was gonna use spear at first but i decided to go archer and im going cold, with cold mastary lvl 7 ive river force lvl 2

i went 3:0 till lvl 25 then added some points into magical cause i noticed that it runned out to fast on times. But i do suggest keeping your red balk as high as posible.

and force is handy when youre operating in a team, and the circel really safed my ass when i got mobbed a few times ^^

SP farming is when you keep your skill mastery level lower than your character's level intentionally to gain more SP points. Usually people farm with 5-9 lvl spreads. The more the spread, the more SP points and less exp you'll gain. The lesser the spread, the less SP points and more exp you'll get.

As for force, get it if you like. If you intend to heal yourself with force, I'd advise you not to get Self Heal but invest in the Heal Hand series instead cause you can just shift+click on yourself to heal your HP, it heals more HP than self heal does and you'll save SP.

hmm... isnt pacheon consider another mastery? or just forces r count as 1 each? 1 more thing... i realise many archers dont use strong bow mainly coz to the time consuming to cast. is zit still adviceable to add into my skill book? finally... in ur opinion does a hybird of 78-78 pys/mag balance type better in pvp compared to pure str? if hybrid is a winner here... can i still add int to make it 78-78?? ty

As for above, I meant 4 masteries, oops! You're going to need to farm at some point if you wanna max your skills/keep them up to par.

Im only a lowbie archer but ive never actually fealt as much dedication to my previous melee characters (even my 3x blader i had on aege god only knows how long ago) as i have to my archer.

This could be the build i take to 70 first... but im just loving the crits on every other devil bow and how much damage i can put out without even getting touched! I havent even got fire body wisdom yet and i love this character!

i am pure str glavier fire/light, and i'm thinking of changing from glavie to bow gud idea? cz i love using bow, the skills are flashy ^^, but having only a few skills does it get boring? and also if u can 3 books of anti devil can u sue 1 book after the nxt cz the crits on it are so constant.

Glavie fire str is the most powerfull build in the game!


But.... of course bow fire full str is also good (what i use) but for pvp with glavies.... well.... you get owned over and over!

i am a (almost)pure int archer, 37fire, 33 light (for GW), 32 pacheon, 10 heuk for the passive HPand 20force for the passive MP. i find that i am EXTREMELY successful in PvE since i can 2hit any mob my level and just above (i use both nukes + berzerker+anti devil+3 arrow combo. i almost always seem to get the majority of XP from giant kills over ANYONE who starts attacking at the same time

in PvP i find i can usually match people my level in fights, infact i think im fairly successful. always open with strongbow, then hit them with a few nukes. if your wearing armour, your usually dead whether your an int or str build (specially if your int :] ). However if your a garment wearing pure str glavie im pretty much screwed, unless you suck. still, you cant win everything and even str glavies are gonna die to someone whose quicker on the keys.

since i dont plan on ever reaching any cap (cmon dunno how you can grind all day) i have no problems with my mastery mix and i think it adds to the playing experience. i could possibly delevel the 10 heuk since it only gives 97HP, but the 20 force is great for my mana and i like to rez people too. for anyone who is doubtful about getting lighting with your fire, get it. im immensely more powerful since i added lightning a few weeks back. grasswalk is a must, i spose if your str build you dont need the extra magic dmg % buff but the passive and concentration are really useful. just dont use the imbue, my light imbue is still 0-i use fire imbue. keep it maxed unless your SP farming like i am atm (only a 4 lvl gap atm :[ )

im using lvl 1 black hawk atm but will probably start to level up white hawk soon. however, black hawk+wolf+fire xtra dmg is useful when your crucial imbue ends and your to lazy to rehit the button

so theres proof that pure int bow can be effective, my build is all over the place but its fun, great vs mobs and reasonably effective vs other ppl. and if you keep beating people pvp all the time no ones gonna wanna play with you anymore and how fun will the game be then?

Edit: Forgot jobbing. range is fantastic for jobbing. when ppl job, you usually come across a thief/hunter, and look at the gears first (weapon on a thief). with range, i just load up a strongbow from the distance. if it hits big, i keep on attacking. hit low, means the bum in the suit is using high lvl gears with a newb weapon (dam thieves ), but i can simply run off, most thiefs cant cant my garment+8lvl grasswalk speed (61% increase FTW!!)

yeah Pure STR bow is the way to go, im am one, ok so yesterday i was like fighting this girl with full garment, we have the same lvl but she was a int hybrid, she only did 194 crtical with anti-devil fire, i did 378 Anti-devil critical with fire, i killed her in 2 shot.....lol i didnt use one pot at all i only lost 46% of my total health, i had about 100HP pot and 100Mp pot on me, so i could have owned her over and over and over and over again.....lol Ranger Rulez

Haha! I was an int-archer once. Heyhey, I started early in Beta and we were all clueless noobs.

This.... "i dont plan on ever reaching any cap" was my initial plan at... lvl30. But that didn't work out cause lo-and-behold, I'm capped at 70. Funny, don't you think?

If you've got the commitment and gold to spare, I suggest you switch your weapon mastery. However, if you enjoy and want to remain being an int-bow then so be it.

Let it be known that int-bows lack in PVP and you'll for sure notice it more as you continue to lvl.

I was testing something 2 days ago with my guild mate.

I'm lvl 36 pure str/fire/bow
He is 37 lvl pure Int/bow/ice+light nukes

We did some pvp and he won 4-1 LOLz. well one lvl higher then me but it really doesnt make a big difference.

well ... i had some free SP to spare so i put them into ice imbue up to lvl 6 ( hehe didin't had more sp )...and... we started pvp again. i killed him 2 times he killed me 2 or 3 times dont remember exactly. but i must say that it was hard to kill him when i was with fire imbue and i was dying very fast ( he frostbited me so even with pills i was attacking so slooooow. i have jewelery with about 40% frost reduce lol)

Ok now about gears:
Me - garment every peace is +2 or +3!!! with str +2 - +3 jewelery 5 deg+2 has str +2. masteries Ice 28 for buffs, fire 31lvl, bow 31 lvl heuksal 29 lvl for passive buff with hp. i have about 3,8k hp lol
Bow lvl 35+3 Crit 9

Him:
Protector dont know what options and pluses.
He had black hawk ice imbue ice nuke and light nukes.
Bow 35+3 crit 2 (he doesnt need high crit because he uses only nukes so yeah) +30% damage


So tell me guys is it really true that int bow sucks?

hmm well i will be continuing my full str character but... i decided to go ICE instead of Fire.

Difference in damage between ice and fire is not so big only while criting its about 300 dmg less with ice but remember i have ice imbue 1book lvl 7 now and fire imbue was 2book lvl 4 while testing.

Well now i have to farm some SP to push my ice imbue up to book2 lvl 4 so will be equal with fire imbue and the i will make some more tests i write info for you.
