P.S What are some good bow mastery's?

I'm thinking something like 100pacheon/100fire/80light/20ice
Or maybe I'll go with the ice imbue and go with 100pacheon/100ice/and then I'm not sure how I'd split up the remaining mastery's between fire or light.

I assume you are going as a pure STR? Probably the best all around build would be the 100pacheon/100fire/80light/20cold. Good speed, good defense, and good physical attack plus 20% snow shield. But (!) if you'd enjoy 100cold as a bower, you should try 100pacheon/100cold/100fire. This way you'd have a very good defense, while losing ghost walk, but one might say that as a bower you don't need to move much as you've got range. I do not completely agree with that though, but if you in fact have good defense - note that with "defense" I include disabling abilities - I don't really see a reason to move. At 100 cap you'd be able to become untouchable using solely Pacheon KB skills (consecutive non-stop KB'ing) in case you need to repot, protect someone or whatever. If you intend on going for 100cold together with pacheon, I'd say the best option, in my opinion, would be 100pacheon/100cold/100fire, but note that you don't need fire imbue, fire is for physical attack %, magical defense and fire wall. You'd have a pretty good combination with such masteries.

my noobie archer designed for 90 cap guess adapted to 100 would be 100 pach 100 ice, 64 fire, 36 light, ok it rocked but its still only in its 30's

friend i knew on pacific had like d8 ice bow she loved, i actually owe her a 32 sos bow i forgot to return, thanks for reminding me.

this combination gives you hard fire 75 magic defense(it appears it almost doubles at lvl 60), 13% extra physical damage.

44% grasswalk, and lvl 2 phantom with is most then enough in ctf, and 10% extra magical damage (like it matters)

this mastery seams better suited to a slight hybrid now that i look at it

ya, speed is a must for me but raph's probally the better suited for pure str, with hybrid on this mastery set you could take better use of snow sheild and be less crit reliant, or its still fine for pure str if you hate not having grasswalk

blade 100 fire 100 bich 100 ice..i like tankers...but u should go 100 light..or 80/20

Oh yeah, I do love grasswalk. I can make do with lvl 20 grasswalk or whatever though.

So far I'm liking foudre's build. I love the Ice imbue and I'd still have a pretty good grasswalk and Phantom.
And the fire is pretty high as well. Maybe I should go 1:5 or 1:7 hybrid str since I'll have a really high snow shield.

What are your thoughts on going 1:5 *85% str* or 1:7 *%?*

Just wanted to say that with 100fire you get 277 mag defense, and 68 fire (as in foudre's build) you get 75 magical defense, you'd be losing 202 magical defense. You'd also lose 5% physical attack. At that cost you'd get little speed and a extremely small ghost walk. But well, it's still completely up to you if you prefer it or not.

Maybe I should go 1:5 or 1:7 hybrid str since I'll have a really high snow shield.
You'd be able to have the books maxed, but that doesn't mean you should/would use the higher ones.

What are YOUR thoughts on going hybrid? Ours shouldn't really matter. If you are willing to sacrifice some survivability (which you should already have plenty) for some damage (and maybe for the feeling of being different), then go hybrid. I'd say you would enjoy being ~ 90% hybrid STR. Also, you would probably be able to afford using ~ 30% snow shield as a hybrid str in garment (not sure though).

my thoughts for the 64 fire was simply for the extra increase of the magic def buff after the highest phys increase while still allowing phantom, no updates for another 6 levels of phys increase but you'd loose phantom, so this is a compromise i propose, nothing forcing any one to do it

still till this build is capped the light will help with grinding, if at some point you decide you want to max fire, its not like it'd be that long to get the cursed hearts for a 36 mastery to get rid off

I had already understood that. I just don't think it's really worth it (I mean, we have different points of view which are somewhat based on what we prefer). Anyways, you mentioned grinding, but at a good grinding area you wouldn't be moving much as you'd have high range from bow. And yeah, you would be able to sort of easily de-level lightning once you get to high levels if you want to, also, lightning would be mainly for grinding, as it wouldn't really help at PvPing. At jobbing you should still need to use speed drugs (even though ~12m ghost walk helps, it's still too little imo). Anyways in the end it's all up to personal preference.

By the way, I/we are not by any means forcing anyone to do anything, we are just debating.
