Weapon to use?

EDIT: Thanks for the help guys! Instead of posting a new topic I guess I'll just post another question I have here.

Isn't it true that monsters 11 levels higher than you give you the top amount of exp/sp? If this is true then why do I get the same amount of sp when in an exp auto share party hunting level 25 mobs as when I'm hunting level 14 mobs? Does it have something to do with the amount of people in the party, or does the color of the monster matter (red, orange)?

I'm an int hybrid aiming to keep about an 80% (hopefully 100% with good gear at the cap) mag balance. I'm only level 11, farming with bicheon up to lvl 5, so it wouldn't be very hard to change my weapon.

My question is, which weapon do you think will be best for my hybrid in build: Spear or S/S?

I know spear deals more mag damage, but s/s gives extra defense and a chance to block attacks.

I really dont want to go dual weapon because I'm not going to take the time to farm 300K+ sp at one time for my character.

For the 90 cap I was aiming for...
90 bicheon/heskual
90 light
60 ice
60 fire

good choice or no?

alright well first of all i would suggest going spear for a hybrid, s/s is more of a pure int build imo, im making a hybrid also, my plan is 80 heskual/light/ice/ 60 fire

so spear!

80% int balance, you would be better off using spear. S/s with 80% balance wouldnt be as effective in dealing damage (even with bleed and division debuffs).

i absolutley agree with Dreq, with sword, its pure so u do the extra damage, spear duz more DAMAGE and has HP, go spear if your hybrid

Won't I die really easily though? I absolutely hate that :oops:

What if I used s/s for pvp and maybe party/giant monsters and a spear for grinding with just nukes? (no heskual skills, just bicheon?)

Right now I have a lvl 36 wizard and I absolutely hate how she can't survive against a giant/party monster.

Level 60 ice would give you 40% snow shield, more than enough to help you tank, especially with the extra str points and heuksal passive. If you use spear, it wont be for the nukes, but the heuksal skills when attacking.

Yes, they are. As an int hybrid you will still nuke and attack with spear. So a spear is better than s/s for hybrids and no you wont die really easily just cus you doesnt have a shield on.

Just use a spear already!

with bleed and divison you would, why even pure str is effective that way but i think the most effective balance for sword is 85% and for spear 80%
