Yes, if you use the bow to summon the hawk and start the devil soul as well, you increase your attack rating (not parry) with the hawk and the distance you can throw the glavie with demon soul.

Hope that helps.

And yes, that's WITH lucky powders.

Some downsides.

The max you can get from white hawk 1 is about 24 to attack (I think)

Thats only if you raised your mastery enough to max out level 12 white hawk.

Which won't compete with the blue hawk from a bow user. (Level 54 mastery).

Okay, so every little bit helps. But....

I don't beleive in buffs much. Now I explain why.

-You don't need buffs to kill lower levels.
-Buffs won't save you from higher levels.
-I hate buffing every 5 minutes.

They are only good for someone near your level, or mobs.

With all my buffs, it might take one less hit for a mob my level. One less regular BOW hit.....not a nuke etc.

I removed almost all extra buffs. I am trying to build good, strong build with minimal buffs; using good STR passives, weapon and force skills.

Fire % increase, grasswalk, hawk.

I do have the blue hawk (hes so cool!) but I dont worry about leveling him. Bow skills, and fire first.

im not sure about demon soul

i learnt lv1 of it and went just outside hotan to find an utlra blood. they should be ideal for the test, they dont move
so i buffed myself with demon soul and threw my glaive on the mob
standing still then, i canceled the buff and done it again

my char didnt moved closer to the mob, it threw the glaive from where it has done it earlyer

i cant remember the numbers exactly, but lv1 or 2 of the 2nd book ice buff reduced the avg dmg i got from mujigis from ~160 to ~100 or so when i tested it. mujis were the mobs i grinded on then
so imo, this means less use of hp pots -> i can carry more manapots -> i can stay out longer and gain more xp

ofcourse i agree, it may be worth buffing 10 buffs on yourself every 5 mins
