Having trouble deciding

Post by theshocker »

I'm a new player to this game and i've been reading a lot of these threads in the forums, but I can't decide what seems fun to play. I have no problem playing any/every class. Right now it's a toss up between Rogue and Warlock. I can't seem to decide, and if I were to make a rogue, would it be faster to start with a xbow and level with that, and then switch to dagger when I get to a higher level. I have a level 8 rogue and a level 13 warlock right now and I have to say, the warlock is a lot more fun. But I picked daggers on the rogue, so leveling is kind of hard.

Would going warlock/rogue be a cool idea? Or is that somewhat gimpy? What is a easy / good first class for a new player? I have no problem making a chinese character either. I just picked the euro ones because there were more options.

leveling rogues are suppose to be much faster than warlocks and
your warlock is probably funner at the moment because its level 13 with more skills? i reckon rogues are pretty fun with the monster mask, duplicate skill etc ..

and personally i don't think going warlock with rogue as a subclass is a good idea .. i guess it depends on what build you want .. i mean warlock and rogue might work, i haven't tried it myself and don't know of anyone who's tried.

since you're new i don't know if you know but euros have a 15second pot delay .. and Chinese characters don't. you may want to start off with a Chinese character.

Well as of now, I have only used 2 hp recorvery herbs and they were very spread out. I think I like warlock better then rogue, because the warlock rod is ranged and daggers...well...obviously are melee. So I don't even really have to use spells to level on the warlock, I just use my auto attack with the rod. And if I fight a champion then I use spells. Or if I want to kill really fast, then I use spells. It just seems easier to play. And I have yet to die on my warlock. My rogue has died a handful of times but my warlock hasn't even gotten below 1/4 hp.

I don't really want to make a STR glaive, if I were to make a chinese character I think I would make a full str bow user, but if i'm going to do that, why wouldn't I just make a full STR xbow rogue?? How good are wizards, the more i read up on the skills the more I want to make a wizard, i'm just worried about getting 1 hit by rogues lol

with wizard you shouldnt worry about being 1 hit by rogue only, but almost by every single class there is :P , but yes wizards are really powerful, if you would ask me, id say most fun class to play is archer, maybe its not best class out there but its sure fun.

Also
I think I would make a full str bow user, but if i'm going to do that, why wouldn't I just make a full STR xbow rogue

because its all matter of preferences, what you like more, like skills, armor, also, rogues cant tank euro and cant tank chinese characters, chinese cant tank mostly all euro, but can tank chinese characters, so if you like actual fun of dueling, not just hit and run tactics of rogue, then bow is the decision
l Impact l Rogue l 5x l Venus l

Rogue is going to seem a bit weak until you hit level 20 (At level 20 you get Crossbow Extreme and Dagger Desperate, they = BIG DAMAGE)

Crossbow rogue is the way to go, fast leveling and good at pvp!

:)

But for a beginning character i would suggest you make something easier, like a Chinese character. Glavier was always a good place to start

Chinese characters are hell for beginners. SP farming is a big fat turn-off unless you're extremely hardcore. That's why Euro characters were made. Less SP farming, generally good at PVP, excel in parties. They have nice skill animations and unique classes. My crossbow rogue/bard is level 22 and I have to say it's a little of slow up until level 20. At 20, most classes get a skill that allows them to double their damage, resulting in a big damage spike. That's when it gets fun. Find a few friends, have each of them pick a different class, and start on a non-crowded server. Instant fun ^_^

I once was like you, you need to stop wanting "the best pvp and also good at pve" you need to look for a char that you like the skills, and you find fun :)
