Yes, but you'd easily die against a wizard/rogue, but blader blocks their atacks and kills them ^_^

Chinese PVP and bladers:
The most Chinese characters are doing very hard in killing someone. Thats, cuz the Chinese PVP is unbalanced since the alchemy came out. You gain more defense & hp from the alchemy, but not much more damage. There is no balance between potting & damage, thats why pure int nukers need years to kill something and pure str bladers cant kill any Chinese characters, who are full pimped or nearly full pimped. If they are full farmed and with an 72+9 weapon, or SOSun or SOH, they can kill some others, who aren't to strong.

European characters:
The European characters are made for the SRO how it is today with alchemy. They are made to be able to kill each other, not just to tank mainly like the Chinese characters, cuz of the alchemy. I know that alchemy update was long ago, but it still suxxx asses and they never tried to fix that "PVP problems". Bladers are senseless in Chinese PVP, but now came the European update and bladers are the best characters against European characters, cuz of the lot hp, block & knockdown skills.

For what was bladers good?
For the guys who don't know for what bladers are made and just think, that they are made to tank:
You're not that right with that guess. Bladers was made to make the weakest damage, but to have the highest defense + hp. They was able to take everybody down, but it took a little bit. They was made to take the most damage of other people, but they was never made to tank everything without to kill anything! They was able to be killed with 3 nukes, but it is very hard to nuke a blader 3 times without block, or to be knocked down by them. 2 nukers killed bladers very easy, but if they gained SOS items, then they was the best characters you could think of.

Bladers vs European:
Today are bladers senseless against Chinese builds, but the best against European characters. That means not that they wont die against lvl 80 rogues. You have to be fast, or they will kill ya too. If you see a rogue attacking you, then you should use the "teleport skill" of lightning and then use just the range attacks of bicheon, to take the rogue down. To use the bicheon buff for overpowered physical defense would be a clever thing too. So, bladers are no longer totally senseless in overall pvp.

Chinese or European?
I would have preferred it, if they would have merged the European character kinds into the Chinese ones. I mean the European characters didn't looks different to the Chinese characters, but they have more teamwork skills. If you want to be a healer as a Chinese character, then you have to loose important masterys and what you want to do if youre level 150? 150 Force and 150 Heuksal? The highest mastery of 300 will not raise. Its not planned till now. Thats why Chinese characters are nearly senseless now and not nearly that funny like the European characters. You can play now with your friends with teamwork and you're able to kill. More fun at all, but they are more useless in single pvp, but it doesn't matter if you die, nobody will say that you're to weak. You just cant pot that much and the guy who attack at first, will win the most time.

If you want to make a new character, then go and make a European one. If you want to be a Chinese, then i would advise you today that you should really think about that and that you should make a bow or glavie character. You can skill later to Bicheon if you like it, because its a lot faster to lvl with bow or glavie instead of blade. You will save much time. I guess its the best to take glavie, cuz it's always useful to have a little bit extra HP from the passive, and you gain that skill of heuksal that make your magical defense overpowered. You don't need ice btw! Well, but that you should do only if you want to have a Chinese character for sure. If you're not sure, then go to the European ones and search a guild with nice people who will help ya. European characters can help each other way better than Chinese characters.
To add:
It makes today no big sense to make pure int nukers, cuz the European characters are now the biggest damage dealers who can level faster than nukers can do. If you can wait a long time, then you should go blader at all, if you plan to make a Chinese character. At lvl 100 and 110, will bladers be very nice, but thats only cuz they will not bring out new pots for the Chinese characters. So, maybe they are to weak against rogues then? The time will show it.

You may level not as slow as a glavie, but u wont die in pvp, and later Blader get a skill, which decreases the shiels defence, but it increase the dmg of the blade. Than you are a damage dealer like a Glavie, but you can block

Not at lvl 90! They are damn weak there. Even pure str glavies are doing very bad in damage dealing. And what will change to lvl 100? Just the damage. You can pot around 5k with one potion at the moment. If you look at that gaydamage that the guys are doing right now, then you know why chinese chars need so long to kill each other. On lvl 100, you use the same pots like today, but you will make more damage. 10k and more isn't that hard to reach then. That means that bladers will doing better then, cuz the guys with lower hp and defense will die faster and everybody can kill. Well, i guess bladers cant kill bladers then, but everything else. xD

And I'll give you an example of a Glavie vs Blader... (Both from my union)

Blader:

Full SOS armor, SOS +3 shield, SOS +3 Blade.

Glavie:

2 SOS equips, +5 Glavie.

Glavie won. >.>

But I have to admit the chains look sweet.

Blade if u got silk and a nice amount of gold waiting for you (for farming)....otherwise stick to the old boring glaive....blade got good side and a bad side just like the glaive....so u just go with just what you feel like wasting the next year of your life into.

I'd say blader because of the new chain they can finely kill sumn, and the chains are awsome, i have a 37 glaver, and quit it because they get uber borring, its just spear throw, soul spear truth. With bladers they have the combos, knock down and such so go blader.

ok scrap a blader and a glavie and go sowrd sheild int hybrid i wouldnt go a blader because they get killed too easy and they cnt kill hardly nothing and glavies are only good for one thing and thats tha they get a lot of hp so go s/s and you will pwn euro chars easier tha you would with a blader or a glavie

Bladers are really cool, but they can' t too much damage. I' d say go for full str glavie, because glaviers have good hp and they do higher damage than bladers

wut u guys don't understand is the reason why bladers can't kill shit at the cap is cauze they add only str blues in their eq, if they would at int to their eq they would be able to kill shit.

now u would say "doesn't int effect the tanking abilities of the blader"
and i would tell you, as long as the number of int blues = tha number of str blues then it wouldn't affect the build's tanking abilities at all
