Looking to make a Pure STR Thief, I have a few questions...

What protection should I use? I was thinking armor

What weapon and mastery should I go for? I was thinking Glaive and fire

And the baddest of them all, how to I become a theif? I buy the cape right and that makes me a theif, then I look for what/who to steal from?

armor for phys damage and garments for mag

glavie= most damage, blade/shield=most def.
fire for dmg and buffs, opt. lightning for grasswalk and more buffs

go to the south east part of jangan, the'll be a lady there and she'll tele you too thief town for 2k. buy the suit and bandit return scrolls. & last your looking for 2* trades or higher

I am not a botter, I have a lvl 15 character and a new lvl 5 character that I am thinking of making into a thief.

I have never stolen OR even tried any trade classes, I was just lvling.

And I dont know what a one popper is, but I am definetly not a bot, and I am not liking the reference to it.

i ididn't mean to imply that yuo were one. i was gonna put "(hopefully and probably not and i'm not accusing)" next to it but was to lazy

Alright I could see it being meant that way.

So you guys think Armor, sword/shield and fire/lightning is a good combination?

No. If you're going pure STR you will use a blade and shield. If you're using a blade and shield and you're pure STR, the bonuses from garment are more beneficial.

Personally, I find cold to be more useful then fire for a blader, and lightning running bonuses a must while thieving. But, blade being low damage, needs the damage buffs from fire.

So I would suggest:
Pure blade/shield (personally I prefer glaive, but since you want to use a 1 handed weapon), garments, max bicheon/cold, keep lightning and fire a couple levels behind those masteries so they don't consume too much SP. You'd only be using the buffs from fire/lightning so they don't need to be up to date.

Of course, you could always just go blade/fire/lightning too. If you decide to go glaive you can either do cold/lightning or fire/lightning since the damage is high enough that the bonus from imbue is less substancial then for a blader.
