SP Farming at 4x

I was wondering why people say that it is better to farm SP at a lower level, ie Lv 16. Is it because of the fact that you get a new weapon and can train at the bandit stronghold with almost instant spawns? The only problem with the stronghold is that there are lots and lots of people there. Well, I am 4x and currently killing white mobs. I get 207 skill experience per kill with only 1 mastery gap. That means only 2 kills per SP point. At Lv 16 you need 3-4 kills to get an SP point. So is there something here I am not getting?

I believe you can kill the lower stuff faster than you could at higher levels... even though it takes 2-3 kills for 1 skill pint... it takes like 3 seconds to kill em... (with SoS weapon that is).... while at higher levels you need to do a lot more to kill 2-3 mobs... spend more mana.. etc..

Yep...if not too crowded 2 sec to kill, and 1 sec gap between kills....at lvl40..10sec+

What everybody says is true, but then there are also those types who believe so much in hardcore lvl 16 sp farming that they tend to forget about the larger amounts of sp you gain as you kill higher lvl monsters.

mid 40's here, I'm 2 hitting white/gold spiders, ultra blood devil flowers and mujigi's

im getting 140skill exp per kill, my masteries are 1 behind my level, if i dropped it so it was 9 behind, i'd get a good 600 per kil, 1 and a half sp per kill, 2 hits, no or little damage taken, in 5 seconds, per kill.

it's fgaster then the bandit den.

The point of farming at lvl 16 is because of the bandit spawn, you get 1sp for every 3 bandit archers, u can kill 3, 5 seconds or less,how long goes it take you to kill a flower, and find the next one? the point is instant spawn. And you won't get 600sp with 9lvlgap. If sp faming is so much faster at higher lvls...why do so many experienced players farm at lvl16? And how about Ksro servers...almost all sp farm. Not saying sp farming at higher lvls is ineffective, its just that farming bandit spawn is more effective. But hey just my thoughts, you can do wutever you want.

Look from my experiance you need to stop for sp at what ever level

jess people sp farm at the start to get it out of the way i can one nuke kill a lot of things around my level thjat is far quicker for me as its ranged and i bet i get more sp per hour then someone in the bandit den with 3 mastery gap

I am asking this becuase I had farmed 9k SP at Lv 16, which isnt that much, but I did it anyways. Through leveling with no mastery gap I gained a few thousand more and I leveled really really quickly. I am now at a point where I am despritely needing SP and it is only getting worse. So I am not leveling any of my masteries to try and farm some SP, I just hope it will work.

I can not and will not believe you can kill can a ujigi in two hits.
I am a glavier , I do much more damage and besides I am higher level and I still can't 2 hit a ujigi. Neither can you.

However , I am totally agreeing it is faster than bandit den but with - 9 you will not receive 600 sp.
I have -4 and I get 300 in my double xp. Ujigi is red/orange to you and perhaps will give you around 400 with -9 800 at de. I kill Ishades and Hashades which are my level , nice and quick kills good for sp farming.

thank you...its been proven over and over...lvl16 1-2 hitting instant spawn bandit archer > sp farming anywhere else or at higher lvls

No it has't all its proven is that people tend to prefer to get it out of the way im 100% i gte get more sp an hour then an sp farmer if i drop my masterys

This is all about person preferance. I did farm SP at the beginning and it took over a week just to get 9k SP. That is acually rediculous. The good part is that with the SP I was allowed to keep a 0 Lv gap and level really really fast. But, now it is that time again where I need to get more SP for the long long journey to 70. :banghead:

So I am not saying that you have to farm SP at any level, I just think that it is easier that way, rather than being depressed not being able to get to Lv 40 just because you need more SP.

i got to 40 no prob and im not farming just taking it slow now to get some extra sp i like to ggatehr a lil sp every 10 levels gives me time to boost

I'm making a new char, and I'm going to farm 20k SP at LVL 16. Then i hope I get to the 40's. But what is the best time to farm SP in the 40's? So I can keep a ~9 LVL gap at time...

Believe it. Nukers kill alot faster and dont have to move. Hakafudamine is in my guild and killed Uijis almost twice as fast as I did at the same level. Since Friday he has gained 2 levels on me.

my guess would be to farm during quests, knowing that lvl41-44 is questless...farm before or after....

I could 2-spell an Ujigi at 48, pretty easily. I can still 2-spell Ishades at 52.

SP farming is probably one of the most boring things I've done in any game, ever. And I only got up to 230 at lvl 14.

Maybe it's just because i need to tough it out through the whole process of start new char, get up to lvl 20, get low-lvl sox gear, restart with brand new char, sp farm with sox weapon?

I dunno.

4x is just a range. Anybody that has a 4x character is between level 40 and 49. Therefor a 5x is a level 50-59 etc.

I just started this game a week ago and I have a lvl 20 Blader, 22 Glavie (both have 0 gap since lvl 1... ) I didnt know about SP Farming so I made another glavie lvl14 atm with 1500SP.

Thing is... I lvled my blader and glavie to 20+ within 2 days. And my glavie is lvling faster compared to my new glavie that was SP farming when it had 4-5gap.

My lvl 22 glavie doesnt have problem killing at all...wouldnt it be best If I just lvl to 30+ with 0 gap since lvl 1, THEN SP farm all the SP i need?

You get to higher lvl faster then farm SP and have fun... by getting good item drops right?

My glavie is killing whites easily for around 500xp each. I do use alot of HP/MP potions though

SP farming is never a neccesity, but it helps.

I got a couple of questions.

im lvl 8 and i got about 130 sp to me that isent good but i dont know i thats not good then what should i have at lvl 8?

im making a pure str with glavie/spear you whould think that i could 1 shot (1 hit kill) some monsters but the truth is the only monsters that i know i kan 1 shot is mangjangs and small-eyed ghosts.

so becouse of that i kill monsters that i kill in 2 - 3 hits like weasles, old weasles, big-eyed ghosts and water ghosts (slave) and get about 100 -150 skill exp.

AM I DOING SOME THING WRONG BECOUS IT FEELS THAT WHAT IM DOING IS WORTHLESS!?

Okay...as I've said in another post...I'm a 3-week noob with one char only at level 29...and who didn't know about sp farming at 16 until I was until I was already into 20's...but gonna give it a shot here to contribute.

I could see how it may be easier to sp farm at a lower level since it would be easier to have a 9 level gap at level 16 vs when you're level 4x. If you just do the early quests, you can probably get a level 9 gap pretty quickly. In case there's someone who is noobier than I (is that a word? :roll:

), with a bigger gap between your character level and highest mastery level you get proportionately more sp and less exp for each kill.

I've just gotten to my first level gap 29-32 where there are no quests to help boost me to the next level...it's all about grinding. :banghead:

And as everyone knows it's a pain especially with a 4 level gap (and still no shiny, pretty sos or high+ weapon!). I couldn't even imagine trying to get a 9 level gap at higher levels to maximize sp farming...not that you need to but just for comparison sake.
