Dagger rogue/warlock?

Post by Kayson »

What does everyone think about this one. I'm full str. Lvl 11 atm. I only have 7 lvls in warlock so I can change if I want (delete these lvls with scrolls/quest or whatever...).

I might use xbow later, but I'd be primarily dagger rogue, with a couple of good skillz in warlock.
Is warlock a good sub? Or should I go cleric...

(the only thing with cleric is most ppl in my guild have cleric for sub, so I could help more if I had warlock b/c hardly anyone has it)

I would say going rogue/warlock is a little useless. Because of the way rogues kill, using curses will be very ineffective. You can't stealth if you are going to use a curse, by the time you start attacking the enemy has you targeted and hitting. Dagger rogues just kill too fast to have any real need for a warlock subclass and switching during combat will be impractical.

The reason why most of your guild mates are /clerics is because it increases the survivability factor for euros, and trust me, for a dagger rogue, having a few extra seconds helps a lot, expecially because of the combo moves.

Yeah, that does make sense. Thanx for the tips. Anyone else have any thoughts on this subject?

i am currently trying out 1h warrior/warlock pure str. its lvl 23 now.

it does good in PvE. i kill party giants quite fast and i zerk a lot(every 2-3 mins or so). i just use the curses first then switch back to 1h sword.

as for PvP, it annoys a lot of people when i just do daze+vampire+slumber rinse and repeat ad infinitum. i cant kill them yet so i pester them.

:P

i am still unsure how it will do later at higher lvl. i think impotent/division will make my low-damager 1h warrior go suddenly very deadly pvp-wise. stun+lock first to pile curses and debuffs on the target then switch to 1h sword FTW

Yes, with warrior it works out much better because warriors can tank the damge and let the curses take their effect. It actually would not be too bad with crossbow, if you attack with crossbow, then when they get close, switch real quick, daze, do a few debuffs real fast, then slumber and move away. Then switch back to crossbow to finish them off. However, I still think using bless spell, and trying to get a crit as fast as possible is a better idea.
