Hybrid or Pure int?

I never really cared for any int based character, I'm more of a blader person myself but I decided I'll have to make one sooner or later. I tried a wizard to level 21 but I'd rather make a chinese int character.
What I want to know is what do you believe is best for 1v1 at the cap and fully farmed, pure int or a 1:2 int hybrid.
Also, could you state if I should make it spear, s/s, or dual wep?

Depends on you playstyle.
Based on the info I've read on the forums:
1:2 hybrid is better off with a spear and a heavy investment in the fire tree (check MasterWong's guide).
Without fire you'd be aiming at a 85%ish magical balance naked (more for s/s I hear...), and that's like 40 points in str top at the current cap.

Pure int... No idea, never been that interested in those and never looked too much into the matter.

Personally I don't consider dual wielders a worthwhile investment in the long run (bumping too many trees is going to hurt chinese characters pretty soon IMO). But whatever floats your boat Also consider the economic aspects of having 2 weapon sets...

There is one problem with going Duel Weapons.. it means you have to sacrifice a skill tree .. either being cold or fire.. And with this eruo update i would def get Cold skill tree because of Mana Shield.

If you go duel weapons then use these Masterys: Light - Cold - Bicheon - Heaskul

Duel weapons is very Strong if you use it right.

If you choose not to do duel weapons then go either Hybrid Spear or Pure int S/S.

IMO i would go duel weapons with Light as main and cold as sub.. With Heaskul and bicheon, but it depends on what you like.

When building a hybrid its all about balances. Saying you want to do a 1:2 build is way to rigid.

Mcarru has a excellent hybrid s/s guide written before the update and mana shield. Look in the stickies. Many good guides there.
