Stat Points and 8 Gap Farming

Will it really effect me if I have 6 stat points towards magic if iam going pure str. I have added all of my other points toward str.

And is it alright to farm with and 8 gap at sixteen I know will level a little faster with the 8 gap rather than 9 so guess I have to kill myself more?

Any suggestions?

Maybe restart?
