Weapon for a nuker

Post by XMoshe »

Ok, maybe there is already a thread for this but ok. I'm a lvl 35 hybrid fire/glavie and I'm going to make a new char, a nuker and now is my question what weapon is the best?

If you're a hybrid i'd suggest spear, just because you can afford being hit a couple times.

well i would suggest u to use spear cause as a nuker u must do high dmg in a few time...and shield wont protect ur low life for a long time...so is to kill or die xD

There are a few points form Fly's guild which I consider.

1. Spear I think is kinda dangerous if ur pure nuker. I think it is best suited for a hybrid int build or a int build where you utilize both spear skills and nukes. The passive from spear is the only thing which would give you an advantage over mobs.

2. Sword and shield, even though it does less dmg (at higher lvl this can be 500+), is still acceptable as you gain two things from the use of a shield: Block and Increased defense in both phyisical and magical stats.

3. If ur a pure nuker, just take up both weapons. When ur sure u can one hit a mob, a spear will save u pots. Less nukes to kill mobs, they won't dmg u as they r dead in the first hit. When you fight tougher mobs (especially str based mobs like mujigis), use a sword and shield, the block saved me a hella lot.

4. The bow is simply a bad choice for a nuker, if ur a int build with bow skills, hey by all means go for it. It's just difficult to use ur nukes and bows skills together as the bow skills already has a long recharge and so as ur nukes. It just seems as a waste to choose bow as a nuker weapon.

Final answer: sword and shield + spear
Level: 6X
Weapon: Sword / Shield
Build: fire/light/force

so sword/shield, spear and lightning, fire and cold? cold has nukes to especially the 2nd or 3th book that ice rain does a lot of dmg and you said that fighting str based monster like ujigi's the nukes does only more dmg cuz its int based right

it is up to you if u wanna go tri nuke. I personally only use fire and lightning, Kuro just recenlt for the ice nuke book 2. Yah Mujigi even if they hit hard dur to physical base, they take a lot of dmg from nukes as they r physical based. One fire nuke, one kill. Occassionally add in a lion shout for finishing them off.

not to flame or anything but there is no 3rd book of ice. and the ice rain really suks.
at lvl 64 the first book of ice nuke hits 235~352 (250%)
at lvl 68 the second book of ice nuke hits 269~403 (250%) (all though it is an area of effect.

vs Earth lion shout at lvl 51 which hits 219~406 (100%) 2m/3
or the lightning nuke
at lvl 46 book 1 it hits 226~420 (250%) 10m/3
at lvl 66 (2 lvls less that the ice nuke book 2) the lightning nuke hits
483~859 (300%) 10m/3

the lightning nuke is better than the ice AoE 2 book cause, rarely will you have more than 3 enemies in a 6m area (the area of book 2 ice nuke), but the lightning nuke chains 3 enemies in a 10 m distance.

I personally had
24 ice
24 fire
24 lightning
24 bicheon
24 heuskal
12 force
but i delvled ice down to 12 (ran out of cursed hearts)
but i'm getting heuskal to lvl 31 for passive, ghostpetal, tiger chain, and flying dragon.
bicheon i will continue further (i might take heuskal further too) and max the chains, the blade force, snake chain and passive.

Don't bother with cold unless you want the buff, passive, and maybe the ice wall which is handy in pvp where you use it and then nuke the enemy while they have to take down a 1-4k or so wall before dealing your hp damge. FORGET THE COLD NUKES

Started one on Xian with a spear, I'll go sword/shield, spear and fire lightning. One last question (or 2 lol) what are passive skills and what skills do I need for a good nuker, anyone knows?? Thx in advance

/EDIT:
I have to say, pure INT and then wearing garment that really sux. going to sell a lvl 29 crit 11 blade to npc cuz no-one want to have it and then I go buy some armor. have to sit on my @$$ after every old weasel cuz my health is to low to kill a next one without dying

the passives are the skills at the bottom of each skill tree, you lvl them up every 10th mastery lvl (10-20-30-40-50-60)
