Bard, 2nd class input request.

Post by Rizla »

I have two ideas for what Im going to do as far as a second class...please tell me the pro's or con's on each.

1. WARRIOR (1st favorite)

Taking my warrior level up the same as bard and wearing heavy armor so I dont drop in one hit in parties, also hybrid-ing 5:1 Int to Str ratio for a tad more HP. Honestly I have no issues keeping my MP up, so sacrificing a little bit of int wont be an issue AT ALL.

2. WIZARD (2nd favorite to warrior idea)

Taking a couple select specialties in wizard and staying pure int.

Imo another int class such as wizard, warlock, or bard. I don't think it's worth it to level warrior just for the armor.

If you consider that I will generally always be barding for a party? I think the armor would be great, gives my tank an extra 5 seconds to pull off me, then I dont lose exp and the cleric doesnt have to res me.

I'd choose cleric, because bards have damage attacks that use int, so rogue and warrior are sorta outta the question, you'll be getting str and int, reducing the damage on both classes. I reckon cleric's cool because you're buffing people with bard anyway, might as well continue helping... :P

Ive already ruled out cleric, either warrior or wizard as I stated in the initial post.

This might be an interesting class at higher levels.. since a bard is meant to support and not to attack , he can use some better protection.

This indeed gives the warrior (if he really cares bout you...) more time to pull the mobs towards him..

But: You have to be sure to go str, and accept the consenquenes of a very low attack power.. you get more defence for it , but the attack power will decrease in both forms like monkey289 already said.

So if you plan to do a trade run or going hunter sometimes , you might not be able to kill the player thief who is attacking you , which will likely bring you to death!!

Keep that last point good in mind!

In my opinion go wizard or warlock.. Right now im a lvl 30 Pure Int Cleric and I have Wizard in sub.. I think cleric won't be that good in job cases , but with wizard as sub you can deal the damage and be more useful when doing a trade run alone.

Also with my Cleric as main I have the ability to wear light armour and switch to my wizard staff ,which gives me a little more protection..

When doing a trade run with more people , you can be useful as cleric and as emergency you can always use these offering skills! :)

I hope I helped ya a bit.
