Can you master Swing March if your Bard mastery primary?

Post by blocklandmac »

I'm a rogue at the moment, and I've decided to go with Bard for my secondary mastery. I want that speed bonus, and I won't have to worry about wasting too many skill points with that. Anyway... There's a skill called Moving March for low levels. That doesn't add as much as the level 70 skill called Swing March. Can someone please tell me if it's possible to max Swing March if I want to master Rogue?

It's always possible, just depends on how fast you want to level up.

You need more SP for more skills. If you're doing few skills, you won't need to worry about this, but chances are, you're gonna learn at least 4 - 5 skills from the Rogue class and at least 1 - 2 from Bard. In that case, you'll have to SP Farm. Just make your highest mastery level a few levels below your combat level. You'll level up slower, but you'll get more SP (Skill points) to spend on skills and can learn more.

The bigger the level difference, the more SP you get per level, and the more skills. Experiment a little till you find out how big a level difference you need and then theres no more worries :)

I know about skill points and gaps. In fact, I've been making my gap fluctuate around in order to get skills at the levels I want them at and still have enough skill points for later.

I was was asking more about the mastery cap. Will the mastery cap allow you to master Swing March, or is your secondary class limited to a certain mastery level, thereby taking away the ability to fully level Swing March up?

Even if you didn't master the bard skill, there are 2 rogue skills for increasing run speed. One is only while stealth is active, the other is a short duration, like a sprint. Those should stack with the bard skill allowing you to move plenty fast.

Actually, it kinda scares me to attempt trade runs knowing that rogue thf's could be hiding in plain sight and easily run down the fastest pack animals....

Thanks.

Scud (the short one) doesn't stack with the bard skill, but I think the stealth one will because it's passive.

You're allowed to master two skill trees completely. The 300 SP cap at level 150 applies to Euro as well if you choose to play for that long.

Thanks! I thought some people were saying that there was a limit for your second mastery... Something like 80 for the main and 76 for the secondary. I guess I won't worry about that for now. =)
