Wizard---> Heavy Armor

I was wondering if this is a cool thing to do. I would get warrior mastery up so i could wear Heavy armor, so its that a good thing to do or not and do you need a lot of SP to lvl up warrior mastery. Because i die a lot because of those stupid criticals. So tell me yours appinions.
