Passives without Archetype

I did a search and didn't find a straight answer on this topic so I'll shoot...

Can you use passives for weapon classes without using only that weapon?

For example, would Cheolsam Force from the Heuksal line take effect, increasing your hit points if you had a bow in your hand? Likewise, would Mind Concentration from Pacheon take place if you had a spear up? I believe there are also a few passives that require you to hold xx weapon to cast but do they terminate early if you change weapons?
