My friend made it to lvl 80 hybrid s/s and 100% mag. balance with gear (doesn't remember naked stats as he left the char) he tells me it couldn't tank and couldn't kill anything either, so if you ask me hybrid spear or maybe even pure int spear with the new mana shield coming up. To be safe you can put all points into int and then somewhere around lvl 65 you can put all points into str until 80.

im s/s i owned 2 spear/glavie users on a thief run idk if they were str but they were about my lvl so i would say s/s

I go for s/s..I was spear user the switch to S/S becaseu i foudn sosun sowrd^^ . I afraid that im going to regret my switch. But im very satisfied with it now. I consider im pretty strong for Elderado server^^

What are your balances? In the end I would pick sword, because when you build it right, yeah you need a crit to really kill but you also need a crit or two to really die ^^.
But seriously, spear is also great. It all depends what your balances are.

Well, it depends on what type of hybrid you are? 2:1, etc, etc...But really you want good balances, around 70% phy and 85%+ for your mag, especially if you go with S/S because of its lower dmg than spear. If you go 2:1 hybrid, go with spear because that type of hybrid isn't made really for S/S. If you wanna go with S/S or Dual wield, I'll say to be a slight hybrid, where you have the balances, or better I mentioned above.

I have a unique hybrid dual wield, and it's really fun and good. I have 70% phy and 88% mag balances w/ my equips, and I simply love this. I can tank better than a pure int w/ armor, and I can still hit hard w/ nukes. I might not be able to kill every player in pvp, but who really cares?

Just go w/ the weap. you want more ^^
