Ok first thing you need to know is that pure strength characters never do as much damage as there int based counterparts. Strength characters trade damage output for lots of health(HP).
Second most important thing is you need to make money in this game to be succesfull. At low level you can get away with npcing your drops and picking up your gold, but very quickly you will find that this method stops working. You should have your auto pots on and working at all times. You also need to imbue with your weapon skills. Your goal should be to kill as fast as possible, not to save money on pots.
Getting a helper bunny is great for picking up your drops but not absolutly necessary.
