Simple Bow Guide

Post by taintofsleep »

I am going to attempt to do a quick little guide about a bowman since I am in school and very bored.

For this guide I am going to be covering a str build. Try to get your str above 90% balance without gear on.

Wear Garment if you are str and wear protector if your a hybrid.

Pacheon:

Anti-Devil:Max all 3 tree's. This skill increases crit and as a bower you want crit.

Arrow Combo's:Get all 3 tree's. This skill is a good finisher. Also if you want to get imbue effects onto the person then this is a good call. Also when the skill update comes it will knockback

White Hawk/Blue Hawk:Max this skill. Some people think black hawk is better. I don't agree. This skill increases AR which makes you hit on the higher end of the damage that you do. I think that would make you hit higher on crits which would greatly affect your character.

Black Hawk:Get to lvl 1 if you wanna waste time killin noobs :)

Autumn Wind:Skip, not really worth the sp.

Demon Soul Arrow:This increases range. I prefer to get it because it makes grinding easier/faster. It's your choice, but it's a nice skill to have. Also makes you look cool.

Berserk Arrow:Max all 3 trees. It is a powerful attack and has AoE which helps when your getting attacked by more than one mob. Also does more than strong bow at 69.

Strong Bow:Mainly for pvp or when you start on a giant. It takes a long time to shoot, yet it does good damage. Once the skill update comes it will stun too. I would max this seeing as it will stun on the update.

Fire Mastery:

Fire Imbue:Max all these as they do the highest damage. You need high damage as a bowman.

Fire Protection:Max this out for the extra mag defense.

Flame Body:Max, it gives more damage which is always good.

Fire Shield:Your choice, nice against ice.

skip the other skills that I did not explain. Get Passive tho

Lightning:

Grass Walk:Max

Phantom Walk:Max

Piercing:Optional, it will give you a little bit more damage.

PVP

For spear nukers: just make sure you keep your distance so you can get the first shot off. It usually takes 1-2 hits to take them out. They aren't a big problem. When I was 42 I killed a 56 spear (zerked him). I am guessing he was pure int because it didn't take long for him to die.

For int s/s nukers: This really depends on if he blocks. Usually you will be able to kill them with 1 or 2 hits yet they will kill you in that much also. Just make sure that you keep your range and get in as many combo's possible. If you think your strong bow will 1 hit them then do it. If not the just keep spamming anti devil/berserk and your arrow combo.

For Glavie's: These guys are a pain. You need to keep critting to kill them. Start off with a strong bow then use anti devil and berserker with the arrow combo. Keep doing the anti/berzerk/combo unless your hp gets low. If you start to worry about your hp then phantom walk away. Restart and just wait for a good set of crits to kill him.

For Blader's:I haven't had much experience with bladers. Basically just try to keep your range. If they get close then just phantom away. It basically is a pot wasting battle. It can go either way just keep smart.

For other bowmen: It is basically dependable on if the other guy knows how to use his character. You can't use range against other bowmen. Start off with strongbow(for lower levels). Then use anti devil, then berserker, then combo. Do not use strong bow in mid fight. This will get you killed.

For PvE. Please don't use strong bow unless you are on a giant. It wastes time if you are on normal monsters. Just use anti devil and then berserk or combo.

Get Black Hawk Level 1.
Not worth higher levels, but its a little fun during Cape fights south of towns.
Specially when you see a level 10 come out and kill it with one shot from the hawk.
I'm back.

de white/blue hawk don't let you hit much higher, it's making you to hit the best damage out your weapon

if you normally hit something like 1500-2000, whit the hawk you hit then about 1750-2000 i hope i explain it

(don't watch my grammar, i'm from the netherlands 8)
