Question: Int vs. Str Weapon

Post by chindogu »

Hello everyone,
first off, let me say that this game's been great. I started playing yesterday and been reading this forum (guides, char's, skills) and some other websites for information.
However, I am still confused about Str vs Int weapon (glaive vs. spear, blade vs. sword)
Does using glaive or blade the damage inflicted is based on the P. damage and thus, sword and spear's damage is based on M. damage?
or does it depends on what method of attack used (i.e. normal / wpn / force attack)?

This is most likely a noob question, but I really dont know :P
Please someone help me out
Thanks in advance

glaives + blades have a higher physical attack vs magic attack, spears + swords have more bias on magic vs physical.

therefore giving swords + spears an advantage over glaives + blades in magic damage, while the opposite is true for physical damage.

Thanks for the reply.

Im inclined to think, based on your response, that damage inflicted depends on the attack used (Str excels in normal and weapon attacks, while Int excels in force attacks).

I have another question.
I started my character wearing garments. Is it possible to switch to prot or armor now?

also, if you do the switch you wont be able to wear the new armor as long as you have garnments or parts of it equipped. so i suggest buying a full set before switching (meaning plan ahead, gold required to purchase the set, approx. levels to gain the gold to purchase it all so you get to use the set just as you hit the min. requirements... etc)

or just buy it as you go, i tend to plan too much...
