Lightning Spear??????

Post by wolfdemon »

Hey,
im a lvl 13 PURE INT
last night i was looking for a strong magical build sorta thing, found a thing about lightning spears, so ive tried it out, im level 13 now
with level 4 to the first skill of the ligntning class, and a strong spear, but i use a bow instead because i kill decayed tree thingys and small tigers without getting hit much. :P

now, i also have like 70 sumthin spare skill points, and i have NO IDEA what to use them on.
i was thinking about the spear skills, but im not sure, they seem kinda weak. lots of spare points, but nowhere to add them to. :?

any ideas????? i really wanna make this character work.. :D

As a spear user myself, I would recommend leaving the first three spear skills alone and using the rest of them instead. As a pure Int, your spear skills should come into play only when combined with your magic attacks. Thusly, you would imbue your weapon with the Lightning skill, and then use a Spear skill to defeat your enemies.

Although you're using a bow for now, if you're not serious about becoming an Archer type character, do not raise any bow skills. It'll be a complete waste of SP. I suggest raising your Spear and Lightning skills exclusively.

But, your character is still young. A more profitable, but time-consuming, path would be to save up your SP for as long as you can. Level and horde SP untill you have several thousand points. This is very boring and takes a very long time, but the end result will be enough SP points to last for the rest of your character's killing career. ;)

ghost walk phantom, pretty stupid one, it allegedly makes you zoom 10m in desired direction. right clickign this throws you in the opposite direction, and there is a massive delay before you can start running again, its quicker to just run with grass walk flow

Concentration. increases your parry ratio. this owuld be a grewat benefit, if parry was implemented, seeing as everyone hits everything all the time, except when a shield blocks, there is no parryin g, thus, a pointless skill.

avoid the entire concentration series. utterly useless.

as for the windwalk series, definately use the first and third books, but avoid the 2nd, thats the crap one

I hear the limit is 30,000sp. I have no clue whether this is true or not though, as I didn't SP farm on my character.

Theoretically, if you got 30,000sp and then started to seriously level your character, you'd still be gaining skill experience while killing things, so even using up all 30k sp you'd still be earning more sp as you go along. Whether this, in practice, allows you to keep all your skills maxed all the time, is but a myth waiting to be proven. :) But it sounds logical enough to me.
