2:1 Str glavier

i have a glavier 2:1 str heavy. lvl 78. i have some questions. should i use glavie or spear? phy balance 83% and mag balance 52% without stuff. with stuff 88% and 61%. and should i wear protector or garment. phy defence 765 and mag. defence 1470 without buff. give me some advice pls.. thnks..

I'm still wondering how you got so far with that build. STR hybrids are generally very weak. You should wear protector by any means. As for the weapon, no idea what you should use. Get yourself a roughly equal spear and glaive, and find out with which one you hit harder. I anticipate it will be the spear, but damage won't be even close to that of a nuker/INT hybrid.

wow lv78 2:1 str? thats kinda lame lol, All 2:1 quit at 5X coz its lame, Anyway, take Glavie, and protector coz u still, 2 str, so glavie will be ok

STR hybrids are generally very weak

and for proof for that is where exactly???

alot of people assume that str heavy build suck... but if u get the right %'s , they are alot better than u can imagine. Most people are just too stupid and lazy and choose common 2:1 and 3:1 builds instead of experimenting on the right build.

STR hybrids have significantly lower crits then full STR builds. I have actually experimented with a STR hybrid myself. I had very good gear, but was very weak. Bicheon nukers would smash me in 2 or 3 nukes, and STR glaives would beat me quickly.
The only decent STR hybrid is a bow. But that is not recommended either, because bows rely of heavy crits.
Don't try a STR hybrid -> you will regret losing your time on it.

1.) What lvl were u?

2.) We you fully framed or any of your opponents?

3.) how do u know your opponents didnt have better gear than you?

And after all of that... mabye u are just really shit at pvp

Or mabye u didnt have the right str heavy build. I aint saying they are great, but i am just trying to say that htey arnt as pathetic as everyone makes them out to be.

Hmm..I'm STR hybrid and I can tank, kill STRs/INTs my level or 2 lvls higher, and I have 9 level gap, masteries are at lvl 55 ^^ So STR hybrids aren't weak as people make them out to be.

Were you level 78? If not, then you can't tell him that his build is bad.

Ok, you say alot of time is spent in PvE. That's right, but judjing a build by it's PvE only is a majour mistake. taking into account what you say, then we should all agree that the pure INT spear in garment is the best build... Well, it isn't. A build is measured by both it's PvP and PvE qualities.
1) I was lv 47 (char has been banned now)
2) Fully farmed blader with bich, fire and light. Opponents underfarmed (guild members). Balance 79 : 59 naked.
3) Gear was pretty much equal. Guild members and good friends in real were my opponents.

What makes a blader good at PvP??? spam KD + stab. It doesn't take much skill to do that.

I don't say it was pathetic and very bad --> I could kill people 2-3 levels higher then me. Grinding was good, but just the way bladers usually grind -> SLOW. I did not see any considerable improvement in grinding speed compared to a full STR blader.

As for hybrid STR glaives, I had one lv 42, and it was not bad. I had as much HP as a full STR blader of my level, but more damage. However, crit power suffered, and I was no match to full STR glaivers of my level. The gear, in either cases was good (25 STR increase, 31 INT increase on the blade and 30 STR increase, 26 INT increase on the glaive).
Judge for yourself.

u could easily make that a 93-66 balanced glaiver with the proper gear

people seem to underestimate the hybrid build of a str glaiver, these are the kind that are still able to hit hard and tank at the same time. i even honestly believe now that such a build is far more better off then the int version.

you should equip a spear, with such a balance you will benefit more from a spear. why u ask? because 1. your balance allows you to gain more magical damage and 2. the critical range on a spear is higher then on a glaive, if your build crits the damage is still strong.

it is both a fun build to play with in pve and pvp. just check Aege for example and the NightHawk guild, they have 2 players i know of with similar builds.

Toanthang76, a 88-68 str hybrid glaiver in protector with +7 spear
Axhole, 95-60 str hybrid glaiver in armor/protector with +7 spear.

Toanthang76 hits me hard with that spear, he really worked on his gear to make the build strong. and his criticals are still amazingly high for his build.

so my advice, keep playing that char of yours. try to work on your equipment, +4 everything and at least 40 str/int added. go protector and use a spear. the better your equipment, the stronger you will be

there is no reason to lower u crit and u hp to improve u normal hits
it doesnt matter if u hit a mars with 5k instead of 4k of pure strs
if when u crit u do 7k and the str does 9k
can str tanks 5k? yes

I am really getting so fecking sick of people saying that any build besides a few is just a waste.

Feck, my bower cant tank as a glavier or blader, it doesnt do as much damage as a nuker. But I ENJOY!! playing with it. I dont expect to be the strongest, I cant afford sosun weapons nor sosun gear. I dont mind getting smacked to the ground on occasions, makes me have my 2 feet on the ground.

If youre enjoying youre str hybrid glavier good for you, to be honest. I have a lvl 14 hybrid glavier, but thinking bout making it a 1:3 hybrid spear user..

thats the entire point of this build you dumb fak: to increase regular dmg by decreasing your critical and hp. even then a critical hit by this build is still strong, and being str based you have more then enough hp to tank. it all comes down to gear, level of skills and masteries <_<

its like the counterpart of its int version, to decrease your regular dmg to gain more hp and tanking ability unlike the pure counterpart.

No. If you want to then go for it. I was half glavier/blader before and I wasted so much SP's. If you want to tank, just take out shield lol.

Oh, so you want your phys. def to be better. Get the buff might guard of ice. Ironwall is good too but since your ice is already leveled get might guard of ice so you won't have to grind more SP for bicheon skills.

i dont agree with u. cauz with my garments lvl 80 full farmed nukers cant beat me. cauz i have so high mag. defence. i always beat them.

And no one can kill me my lvl, No matter if they have sos/+7/sos+7

I take unusually low dmg from nukers(good gear too), and glaives dont even touch me.

52? if your lvl 80 then try to fight good people leave the lvl 72's alone, cuz pure str have a hard enough time killing at 80 no way a hybrid kills anyone
