Build for a Newbie

Well i'm thinking in play Silkroad, so my idea is tho create a char full str/glaive is this a good char for a newbie? And in what server should i play? I read a post "Pirate's guide to Full str/glaive" or something like this, is the guide good to be followed?

glaiver is a typical char build. dont put any arange points into int tho only str and u should b ok and the server is total up2 u but i recomend go on a server with ur friends to help u start and things
