What to continue leveling...

Post by hitokiri »

My character is moving toward being hybrid int. Its gonna max spear, lighting and then i have to choose. I have Ice and Force at 23-25. Now you can only max 3 areas if i remember correctly, so what do you guys think? Ice or force? and what should the other be left at? i was thinking since i wanted to nuke i should maybe go for ice. just want some feedback from others, thanks.

i was going to say just that, honestly. of course, force is good for group play, what with the res....

if it were me i'd go for ice. keep those three as your main and you can still level force occasionally with leftover SP. once you get high enough that your mastery cap might matter, you can always delevel one or the other, whichever isn't as important then.

Ice is helpful, but wont be a useful nuke.

It can help make up for the lost defense of the missing shield, but it is no substitute for the real thing. It makes your character meatier in a tanking sense, but it is rather useless in PvP (increasing armor that is).

In a pvp sense, the frostbite/freeze effect can be blocked by people using phoenix shield (only because we dont have extensive ranks here) and will still provide a good source of slow, despite auto-pill. Auto-Pill only works after the effect has been on for 0.5~0.75 seconds, meaning the slow is still being brought into effect, it just isnt as noticable as in PvE.
