LIGHTNING OR FIRE FOR GLAVIE???????????

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS NOT JUST THE FIRST PARA COS YOULL NOT UNDERSTAND MY POINTS OTHERWISE.THX

ok. I already no everything about this game as im your typicall SRO player. By that i mean quit at lvl 40 over and over and over....

I have made about 6 chars and hav just started a new one on the new server.

Over the time ive been paying its obvious we all no fire embue is the most damage outputing in the game. Altho lighting isnt far behind . while i have fought many many glaviers with my blader I just cannot kill glaviers who use lightning. Y? because of the stun. No joke. they stun every 5-8 hits on average with stun skills and this in my opinion makes them far beter than one with fire embue as main.

Does anyone agree and has experienced this.???

Also in my opinion, the lighting stun is just as affective as a bladers shield. And one point not to forget "you cannot prevent or get rid of stun" I beleive stun is a very very powefull attribute to have and is even overpowered because

1)you cannot prevent or cure it
2)gives you time to heal
3)gives you time where your not going to take damage
4)all above = staying alive

So i am thinking of being a pure str lighting glavier..This will also mean i dont need fire tree skills at all. speed which everyone has means sp wasted on lightin tree if your main is another tree. This way i save sp to.

No one ever speak about the stuns on lighting and how effective they are.

I point out "THIS STUN IS NOT BY LIGHTING ITSELF BUT BY CERTAIN SKILLS IN THE TREE. AND ALSO, STUN WILL ONLY BE THIS BENIFICIAL IF YOU NO HOW TO PLAY UR CHAR"

And by playing your char right... well i think at lvl 36+ "when you get a specific skill" people will have a hard time killing you because they cnt move lol and your going to have a heafty glavie with big attack power.

Whats your views. shall i go lighting or fire.?

you just need a shield with high block ratio to prevent from getting stun.

well yea but high BR is going to be the minority of players right??

If thats the only weakness then its still pretty good.

I think it's pretty obvious man. Fire is by far better. If you think about it, Fire is more powerful and can certainly do some awesome damage as a glaiver. Lightning is good, but it can be uttered useless against a good shield. If you really really want that lightning stun, then go for a combo of lightning and fire. You have enough for 3 trees, go Heuksal, Fire, Lightning. Sure you'll use up a lot of SP. But if you think it's worth it to have that stun then go for it. Me personally, I'm using pure STR glaive with Fire imbue and a little dabble in Lightning for speed and Force for health. The force is kinda pointless now, but I want to help my guild out later on when we go on large group trade runs. I'll have the power of a pure str glaive with fire and still be able to keep my guildmates healthy.

Also, on another note, Heuksal has some stun as it is. It might not last as long as lightning, but it is still a stun. The only other route you could take would be to go for freezing, but we all know that that is terrible on a glaiver.

My opinion: go with pure str fire glaive with some SP invested in lightning. You'll get everything you want without sacrificing any power. It'll take a little longer to get the necessary SP, but it will be worth it in the end.

FIRE is the best known imbue, lightning could be good, true, but fire still makes more damage than lightning/cold

you could use lightning or cold, but this would be because he got extra 'defense' Glavie is a aggresive build, so you must put all your SP in power. And buy good gear

fire for sure.

light str and stun is 2 diff things

stun = stops the dude from moving
...with fire + stun> light+ stun

you are probly thinkin of the lighting status effect called shock...it doesnt hve to do with stun, shock just lowers player's parry ratio which deals with lower a player's defense somewhat.

you will **probly** get same dmg as fire imbue if you able to shock a player with light. but status effect is not always there so inconclusion i still think that fire str with the high fire imbue dmg = good

But, even if lightning doesn't have anything to do with stun (it's the soul spear skill), i prefer lightning for a pure str glaive, no reason why

Lightning shock = make your character yellow
Stun = make your character yellow

Lightning + Stun = make your character double yellow so he will be stunned longer

Get whatever floats your boat. You should be getting both trees anyways. Fire for damage, increased physical damage, fireshield, mag defence....and Lightning for speed, parry increase, mag damage increase (even for str, 15-16% mag damage is a nice bonus).

I couldnt decide, so i have both lightning and fire imbues. Lightning for grinding, to attract more mobs, and fire for uniques, so during a spawn, i dont attract a bunch of mobs.

Fire dude i had the same problem so i made 1 char lightning and one fire and fire turned out the best for pure str

Just get both of them. Fire pwns and light gives you a parry boost. Plus, you get GRASSWALK for christ's sake. Who the ..... wants to mope around getting ks'd because your a slow azz glaiver. For ..... sake get both man.
