Farming at 42

Post by threefingeredguy »

Similar to the farming at 52 thread.

I'm a pure int with an SOS+3 42 spear. I wear garments and plan on maxing out my spear, fire, and lightning trees.

What mobs should I farm on? Would it be better to kill easy things like bunwangs/blood devils or get more sp from harder stuff like ishades? I heard mujigis are good for that level.

Do I need SOS gear besides the weapon? I'd really rather not spend the money.

For what I want, I'll need to farm 220000 sp. :) I look forward to the endless grinding.

From personal experience, a pure int with standard garments at level 42 will die in 1 hit from a muji's critical more often than not. You can take the risk from the muji's if you want, but I would train on white spiders/bunwangs.

I don't think you need to get any sos gear. Heh, 7th degree garments look so much better anyway. Save your gold for those ^_^

Even if the garms are all +3 with int/str?

Thanks for the answers. :)

Mugji's are quite good.
I could kill them with an fire nuke and an ice nuke on my last semi-pure untspear at 42.
There are some good spot where the non agros spawn alone.

farming is all about a fast kill and crowded mobs
i think the death ravine would be perfect or bunwangs but since there are tons of bots on bunwangs (probably on all servers the same) its hard to find good spots. each time i pass the death ravine on redsea it is usually kinda empty.

Hi!

I am Pure STR/Glavie and Im currently farming at Mujigis. I wear garment witch makes me a little bit weaker. Before I was wearing ICE buffs and armour, then I could kill a giant alone. But not now, with garment and no ICE buffs.

I think you can kill Mujigis really easy (since I dont have any problem killing them). But me (as a Pure STR) can handle two Mujigis at the same time. If three Mujigis attack me at the same time Ill surely die.

But its really good SP, I have GT and get ~700 SP Experience points from each Mujigi. Thats almost 2 SP each kill.

Ps. I have a Glavie 42, SOS+5. It makes it easier to kill them, but not a must. Ds.

It isn't 100% correct but you'll need to look for the exact spot.

Mujigi's are great if you are a str build ....

But since you are not ... I would either try the dead ravine which has the extra bonus of being interesting with the trade running through it. OR try the white spiders. The white spiders do a magic attack ... anything that spits is doing a magical attack lol. :P There are lots of white spiders to the north of the bunwangs.

Bunwangs, golden spiders, mugijis/ugijis, and ultra death devils(flowers) all do physical attacks. The crits they do are very annoying for int builds.

Quoted for truth. SP Farming on mobs significantly higher than you level is NOT an efficient way to aqquire sp.

I think maybe dead ravine.. you'd get wind 2 from there and kill them fast too. See which mobs you kill faster.

This is strange seeing this because I am also pure int and was going farm with my sos+3 at 42 like you are. I'd say golden/white piders because those spawns aren't as usually as busy as say bunwangs or even if you could take them, Ujigi's. Depends what your gap is.

I would strongly recommend you to farm at bungwangs, its not so crowded you have nice spear and gear so you could easily 1nuke + lion shout or 1 nuke small bungwangs. I farmed like 15k sp there in 7 days - so its not that bad spot. Could easily do 1.7k sp with gt/per day. I tried mujigis, they do pretty bad crits, like 1.5k - its not good for nukers, they are agro also, if u get GANGBAGED then you are so dead ^^

Grinding the non agro's is the trick. I'm planning to farm there with my hybrid int after I get my gear up. Before the good gear I'll farm black robbers for gold to get a +3 prot set with maxed int/str/hp

I checked it out, and it was a really good spot to grind. Not as populated as my previous grindingspot :) Nice!

Lol I farmed at that spot when I was lvl 52. I love to grind on mobs I can anti devil + combo. Saves me so much money.. Besides if I can kill them fast enough I will make more sp then on red mobs, wich take up to 4 attacks to keel..

Ok, I'll give bunwangs, white spiders, and dead ravine a try. I think that I'll end up using dead ravine simply because it has a high spawn rate.

i farm at 42 but only till 10k sp....i dont know why...but it seem that only mob at dead ravine that i can kill in 1 shot...great spawn rate but i waste too many pills...

If your gonna be farming in a particular area for a while, it would be wise to invest in fire Shield (if you have the fire tree of course) and bring up the immunity of the status effect you are facing. I farmed on karra for a while and just got zombie resistance on my accessories and i didnt need pills anymore. Thats just a few extra spots for pots (or in my case, arrows)

Immunity goes a long way.
