sp farming
sp farming
I wouldn't say I'm new to SRO but I'm relatively new to the whole 'sp farming' deal. This is my 2nd char and I use a blade/shield going full str. I'm a level 15 with an 8 lvl gap. I see alot of people saying to farm at the stronghold so I started farming over there and I also see people saying to delevel too. When should I delevel or stop farming at the stronghold?

Most people start at lvl 16 to farm with a 9 gap and then farm till lvl 18-19 or 20 and then delevel. Although deleveling isnt a must, if you want to farm in the stronghold to get 100k+SP then this is a must. Personally I would say do lvl 16 and 17 and then delevel.

I am also playing a blader now, pure STR just like you. I chose not to farm at such an early level, simply because the drops aren't worth it. Sure, if you have the patience to farm there for a few weeks, by all means do it.
I plan on going all the way to lvl 36-37 with a 3-4 lvl gap, then let my masteries drop back so I have a 8-9 lvl gap at lvl 42. By then I'll have enough money to buy either a high crit SoX blade or a high crit +3-5 blade, to make farming easier. Also, when killing monsters lvl 40-42, the drops are actually worth something. Not only do you get more gold, but the items drops resell easily, and the items that you don't sell you can either NPC or break down for elements, lots of elements. Just selling a lvl 42 drop to the NPC will give you enough money to buy a shield elixir or two, for instance.
I plan on farming again after that at lvl 60-ish, and then again when I reach lvl 80. The reason for this is that my build (a pure STR blader healer with bicheon, fire, lightning and force) requires about 300k SP, and I don't feel like farming 100k at lvl 42 - I'll try to farm 50k or so, then see how far that takes me..
Also, at lvl 42+ you can do some hunting, thieving and trading to break up the monotony of farming.

Well, I'm not too worried about drops or gold. I already have all the SOS/SOM++ weapons I need when I reach level 16, 24 and 32. But I can see what you're saying. I just want to get as much sp right now as possible and what everyone says about sp farming seems to be the best way possible. But it does get kind of boring at times lol =X.

I did Chakjis (donwhang side between ferries) after the stronghold. Gotta watch for trade traffic though. Hyungo soldiers and horses are good too....champs and giants, aggro, and decent spawnrate if in the right places. Didn't hurt me too bad as int or str char from what I can remember. Farm as much as you can as early as you can
