hello
i am new in silkroad and i want to make my first char now aaaand i want to make a 70:70 archer
but i am not sure what i should skill pacheon/fire/light?
pacheon/ice/light?
and is it true that a 70:70 archer have more mp as hp?
Just because some guy posted a topic that 70:70 archers PWN doesnt make them pwn.
Id guess that that build sucks hardly.
But id go with fire/light/pacheon. And pure str if that changes your mind.
Well its worth to try i guess. Be happy that ppl try other builds than the 'standard-builds'. If he pwns, you just have nothing to say. So pls give this a chance, u have never seen it, so u cant really critisize it. Well Good Luck Freddy!
Don't listen to W3GAN, he's one of those, "If you're hybrid, you suck."
I personally have a near type of build like this, 76% str 64% int balance, and it's doing great.

I've tried to explain to him that int based archers blow.. .especially hybrids but he doesn't seem to understand... =P its such a simple concept, the bow moves are str based =P

Every single move for any weapon is physical based. I assume he is talking about the Anti devil which increases your chance of critting. The amount of damage a crit does depends on your str.

Which bow move is str based?
Antidevil-Steel "Physical attack power 260~351(250%)" 4 Arrow Combo "Physical attack power 278~376(50%)" Autumn wind-Blood "Physical attack power 287~389(250%)" Devil Arrow "Physical attack power 297~402(350%)" Strong bow-Vision "Physical attack power 287~389(350%)"
Its about the imbue.....if you are 70:70 you will do more damage because the imbue damage increase since you also add INT. So if you do a crit with a 70:70 it will still do some huge dmg(higher than a pure str). And the overall dmg is also better with a 70:70 archer. Even better as an 80:80 archer(but thats just later in the game)

wow how boring you are always stating the same thing. go play with your super power glavie with other half of the server and leave archers alone.

Which move indeed.

Imbue+skill from a 70-70 > imbue + skill from a pure strenght.
Sure a 70-70 won't crit as hard, but it as a higher overall damage and crits will keep adding reasonable damage even if you're not pure. The point of this build is a more consitent(sp?) damage instead off relying on crits. Even with +35 from AD, you won't crit all the time.
TBA
Bows (str/int/hybrid) always have a hard time to win in 1on1.
And 1on1 is fairly boring, group fights are more fun, because with lvl 69skills every 1on1 will turn into a potfight at lvl 80 and higher.

How do you know a 70:70 wont crit as hard?
How do you calculate crit increase anyway?

Glavie, the amount that you crit is directly proportional to your str (and from your weapon)
On any weapon, there is a critical value. For example, if you had a glavie with a value of 7, the chance of critical would be 7%. It's not much, but bow users get an insanely high critical rate. The Anti-Devil bow series adds a 35% rate that also stacks on top of your weapon critical value. So, if you have a really nice ratio (10+), you can deal double damage on every other shot.

Glaive? Im doing a hybrid too.
And i just said what i thought was best.
My post helped him.
Your post didnt.
Shut it.
ICE IS A TOTAL 100% must for bow users!!
The cold will own mobs, and the icewall is just great in pvp!!!
so take 80 pacheon, 73 ice, 80 fire , 67 light
U can adjust ice and light a few levels if u think its more usefull, but i would take at least the latest ice buff!
This is a awesome build trust me!

lol basically 35 fromt the skill +10 or 15 from weapon means crit every 2 sec, means all the time.
if your pure STR you cannot use imbue(since imbues are INT based) and if you pure INT you cannot use physical skills of course my fav HYBRID build which uses both
Crit strength is based on your physical strength, but how is crit calculated?
Is a crit double your phys damage?
Does anyone know?
Well, I think that if you are pure STR, then crit is very, very close to double damage, maybe a bit less. For example, at level 16 farming on archers, I usually hit around 200 for normal shots with imbue on. Whenever I critical, I do about 390 damage or so. I've never seen a hybrid or full INT crit before, so I wouldn't know either
