Weapon Elixir

Post by ioulian »

So hi all!

I'm new here and I need some help. I'm lvl 25 and was fighting a giant... and then it dropped a spear, gold ring and a weapon elixir :o woot! But now I want to ask you: I have a glavie lvl 26 in my storage and i want to use elixir on it. But I don't know how alchemy works. I know you must put weapon, elixir + lucky powder. But I heard it can fail, so if i fail, will I loose my glavie, will it be broken? or just nothing will happen?I'm a person who don't want to take big risks :p Thx!

You will never fail getting to +1..so go ahead
Nothing happens to your weapon if you fail, unless you are trying for +5,then your weapon could break, durability could be dropped, and your enchant can go to 0..

It is safe to try and enchant up to +4 with no side affects except failing, which meens its back to 0

ya do it, but always use lucky powders when doing enhancements. Even if its only to (+1), cuz it still can fail without it.
It happened 2 me.. : :x

i hate alchemy :x

just sell em rather than lose 250k 250k for failing...if you wanna +1 go ahead. but +2 is still ok.

to +3 it is already a big risk. I waste 8 elixirs on stupid weapon with 6luck and end up +2. luckily i buy another elixir and +3 it.

10 elixir = 10 x 250k = 2.5mill to +3 it.
i Resell the weapon = 1.5 mill. coz nobody wants it (lvl32spear high crits) still.

i lose 1 mill for stupid alchemy :x

Hmmm my point of view on this is that if it is a dropped elixir, you don't lose anything if it fails (aside from setting your weapon back to 0). Now if you walk into town and buy and elixir and it fails, then you REALLY lost 250kish. Might be my way of not getting frustrated with alchemy fails with a pickup...

Technically your right, you don't lose anything except maybe your weapons durability for fighting that mob. But you do lose out on a couple hundred thousand for failing a 26 weapon(only worth like 30k in the first place) instead of just selling the elixir. Applying your point of view for everything, you would never earn any money.
