example : Lv 20 Fire Mastery = +20% Magic fire Damage [or somekind like that]"
....
"I know that upgrading your mastery level in a weapon upgrades the weapon's damage, but I don't know if the same is true of magical mastery as well."

i do not think this is true. your mastery lvl controls nothing about your stats. all it does is limit what skills you have access to, and the ranks within them. i'm getting pretty close to lvling lughtning, i'll probably di it in an hour or so... i'll post here whether there was a difference if i remember to do so.

I really don't think this can be proven right or wrong. Going from 18% to 19% damage increase would barely be noticeable even in a long test. Besides, when you raise your mastery level you have probably also leveled just before so you're already hitting more than you were before so you won't see the difference of that extra %.

eh, it's testable. find someone who wants to change from fire to ice or vice versa. they'll probably be upping their mastery in a nice little chunk. yea, 18% to 19% won't show, but 5% to 20% surely will.

i changed elements at level 15(and weapon too, lol), but i didn't really think to check. i just assumed that if the game said that ice attacks would gain 10%, that, well, they would.
