More detailed questions on fire/glaive build.

Post by Liquid4710 »

First off, i did read the forum and several other to try to extract as much information as i can on my own. My first character was lvl 21 before i decided to remake. So this time i'm trying to get it right. I figured some answers from some experience players could save me alot of problems later on.

I've decided on the fire/glaive build. Some detailed detailed questions i could not figure out.

FIRESKILL
1. From the biggie guide he suggested to get all the fire skills, except for the "nuke" and firewall. I know what fire wall is, can someone please clarify witch nuke or nukes he is talking about.

WEAPON
2. From the Weapon tree, which skills Should i get, Or for a quicker answer, which ones do i NOT need. Actual skills names would be nice, instead of "nukes"(not mocking you biggie) or number 1/2/3 skill.

LIGHTNING

3. I think i know what skills i need but just to make sure, only get the passive, and the grasshopper speed increase right?

4. Also it seems that I should only get the first lvl of each skill to maximize mana efficiency, until i have to lvl it up to get the next skill in the series(i think it's called the next book?) can some explain more on this.

As for sp farming, i'm going to get 1 point in the fire imbue and 1 in the first Wolf bite spear. Then i'll start getting more skills once i get the 9 lvl gap in. I don't want to lvl to slow, so i'll gradually decrease the gap to 5 lvls when i reach lvl 30.

Does sound ok?

I know it's a loaded question, but it will really help me and others trying to figure this out.

Thanks for your time.

Nuke is the level 30 ranged attack in fire/ice/lightning. Useless to a pure str which seems to be what you're going for.

WEAPON
2. From the Weapon tree, which skills Should i get, Or for a quicker answer, which ones do i NOT need. Actual skills names would be nice, instead of "nukes"(not mocking you biggie) or number 1/2/3 skill.

I'm no expert but I would get soul spear, chain spear, ghost spear, the level 31 spear throw (forget it's name), and the passive skill. The first spear attack available seems pretty useless once you get soul spear, I have yet to see a single use for the fan spear, and dancing demon becomes pretty useless too once you can get soulspear and chain.

LIGHTNING

3. I think i know what skills i need but just to make sure, only get the passive, and the grasshopper speed increase right?

That soudns good to me.

4. Also it seems that I should only get the first lvl of each skill to maximize mana efficiency, until i have to lvl it up to get the next skill in the series(i think it's called the next book?) can some explain more on this.

I for one upgrade it as soon as I can. Upgrading it increases it's status effect and power increase. Some people like saving up and then spending ti all at once. I don't really see the point in that. Unless someone with more experience says a reason why you shouldn't, I would just level it as you go. But I'm not pure str, so I don't really know how that affects it so you should look at what other people say before taking my word for it.

That sounds ok I guess. As I said before I'm no expert. I think you should get only one level in wolf bite since it isn't very powerful and you outgrow it fast.

I know it's a loaded question, but it will really help me and others trying to figure this out.

if you fight more mobs at once, dancing demon spear is nice for when ghost spear is cooling down :)
i have it at lvl1, so i hit up to 3 mobs (for double dmg) insted of only one
ist also pretty cheap manawise
Kewanaar - Bakemasters
Lv6x - Trader Lv3 - Hunter Lv2 // Wolf - Huan

Just remember, in the beginning the fire buffs will be VERY slight. If you are hard up for SP, leave them in favor of the weapon skills until you're higher lvl. For the buff for example, 1% of 200 dmg is not a lot. Better to get your soul or chain 1 lvl higher.

i agree with everything stallowned and the others have said. as a general rule, i don't lvl any skills that offer less than 150% dmg for spear skills. this means the things you're gonna want to lvl are Soul, Ghost, Chain, and Flying Dragon.

also, the fire wall skill is i believe right amove the nuke in the skill list, SRO is not up so i can't check for sure.
