changing into spear from sword

my char is lvl 34 with lvl 32 sos sword +3 and i am grinding flowers. right now the dmg i deal with my nuke (with out imbue and masterys at lvl 30) is 1300-1600dmg . if i change at 35 to a +3 spear will it be enuf to kill a flower(over 1850dmg needed) and in general what is the damage out put diff between em' nuke wise.

You can use spear for PVE more damage and you don't need weapon skills your just nuking and then you use S/S for pvp.
