Grasswalk or Resurection?

Which should I go towards? My lvl is under 20 but the reason I want one of these skills is cause when I'm out there and someone dies, I wanna be able to help them out. The other (Grass) is pretty much self explaintory...
Any advice?

Get both of them... Grass-walk is awesome and its always ncie to be able to res ppl.. Grass-walk will only take like 40 sumthin SP points anyways... so IMO get both

I think you should get both ...but I really am maxing out my ress so I can charge people later on in the game ..

lv. 20-30 = 5K for ress

lv. 30-40= 10 K for ress

***to be added when i get it***

lv. 40-50= 20K for ress

lv. 50+ = 35K for ress

so hit me up in the game if you need help and want to save some XP...I can help you!

Both are a great skill to have, Grass walk is a must yet Rez is handy... its not a necesity.. there are almost always people around willing to Rez, but still a very nice skill to have

note, that you only have to spend like 30 sp to get grasswalk, and you will benefit from it even if you only get lvl1 of it. but you will have to level up the force mastery and the resurrection skill to be able to resurrect higher level people later on

the problem with rez is it is usless if you die there are very few with the rez ability lately :cry:

In my opinion, charging for rez... i mean whats the point. The ability is a support skill, if you need money just to burn mp which costs you nothing dont get it. Donating is different, if i feel i need to do so... ill go ahead and donate if someone went out of their way. As for myself i would never take a donation.

charging for res? how exactly do you do that? can you enter a trade when you're dead? and if not, what's to stop them from just getting the res and then not paying you?

anyways, i res for free, so matters not to me, just curious how that works.

well in low lvls most people dont rez. some mmorpgs that has few rezzing abilities charge a price to rez them in high lvls. this is the same in sro since:

1.high lvl people are mostly rich(since selling high lvl stuff=big money)
2.high lvl people are lazy to go back to town sometimes especially loading screenies going to town. people pay just to get rez than walking far again.
3.some people take the rezing ability as a sacrifice their ability to help ppl for a price if you know what i mean.

Yes this is where a -donation- may come in place, but cmon... to charge a price is a bit extreme imo. The thing people miss is that... a Res is only MP, nothing else, it does not cost you a thing... how can you charge someone for something for free ?

Some people are already willing to pay.. I've come across so many ppl that say they will give me 5k-10k for res right off the bat.. Of course i'll res anyone at anytime, but if they say they'll pay me I'm always willing to make an xtra buck or two.. I need to upgrade my res tho, cuz I'm starting to come across higher lvl people that I cant res cause my res only works for lvl 27 and lower... 53 more SP and I'll upgrade

I was raised the other day by someone who wanted money. I "gently";) asked him to continue his way because :

- raising somone before asking money is extortion, imho. espetially when the sum asked was 10k. If the guy told me he wanted money, i would have negotiated. But raising then harrassing to get paid is racket !

- i'm not against charging a res, basically. but the price have to be announced.

- and as far as costs go, I would, personnally, if I were charging (which i don't) reses, ask for a mana pot, or the gold equivalent : we use mana to res ppl, why not get a -sort of - refund of what we spent ?

But in no way would i ask for more than the gold equivalent of the Mpots I'm using at the moment !

I'll just add a thing : I might well consider charging a res for a player who I know - i.e. was either a witness or a victim- of a kill stealer...

and if I do, the cost might well be huge...

We are living it hehe.... Charging for rezzes has exsisted for years now in MMOs. =/ sad that people need money to use up something that costs only MP

ok people dont get your shelter holyword trousers in a bunch , i was somewhat kidding ...somewhat

think about it though , it's not just MP im sacrificing , but skill points and mastery level i could have easily spent in another category to make my character stronger.

though I don't really charge everyone at this point , when I get higher level 40+ I will definitly be expecting something...course it would be very little $$ in comparison to what higher levels make

and no there is no way to gaurentee that the person will pay u after you ress them , but I figure if few enough people hav the skill at higher level u prbly wouldnt want to stiff me :p

Ressurection is a support ability though... people get it so that they can aid others. If you are 100% getting your res to make some quick cash.. then in my opinion why get it at all. Thats like saying " Hey buddy, i healed you... and Healing Hand costs SP, pay up"

i gotta agree with lyrikk on this one. the main reaosn i got the res is so that i can bring back people i'm fighting with, like while doing a trade, thieving, etc. so if i have it anyways, why charge for it? i already used that SP because i wanted to. my build would be the same whether i ressed some guy once or not. it's not like i saw adead guy, decided to res him, so i pumped my force up to 17 real quick, wasting all that SP.

plusk, like you said, you'd charge very little in comparison to what a high level makes. but then again, you'd be high level, so you wouldn't get much benefit from the small $$ amount you charged. so again, what's the point?

I don't have any res skills at all, I've spent all mine on fire, weapon and grass walk. I'm trying to duplicate Browntygers build/skills cuz he seems to be the most powerful on Xian.

grasswalk is essential for fast lvling, etc. res is awesome for giving you a warm fuzzy feeling. i wouldnt trade my res for anything, but if i had to delvl something later, it would have to be force. the rest of my skills are just too crucial.

just remember that if you make a mistake and change your mind, you can always delvl the skills and masteries.

don't think that just because you see browntyger's name on the isy kill broadcasts that he's the most powerful player on Xian. the only reason that happens all the time is because he takes his whole guild in a share pt with him to take her on, and when ANYONE from that pt makes the kill, since it's a share, brown's name gets the broadcast if he's pt leader.

last night a rez'd a couple people....and i was standing there waiting for them to come back to life so i could heal them and give em some hp....

Funny thing was, they message me "why are you still here? what do you want? 20k?"

This happened 2 times. I don't know, this kind of scenario is kind of sad when people start expectating that others will charge them to rez.
