Can someone explain imbue's and how they work?

Post by Agent_Johnson »

Hello, as a dual nuker...fire/lightning I've read that you need the imbues. I am currently lvl 28 and have riverforce book 1 maxed.

Now how do imbues work exactly...to this point I've been using it with my spear to do lot's of dmg with like soul spear and ghost spear. But what about when I get my nukes? Does turning on the imbue and then throwing a nuke do more dmg or is it only for weapons?

How far should I go with the fire imbue, max first two books or go all the way? Same question for lightning? Thank you.

the imbube you can use them only with weapons. the nukes are just... nukes! you hit the key and you fire your nuke.

depends on what your build is, but fire cause more damage than ice.

Ice Imbue - Slows down enemies with Frostbite, or Freezes them for a short amount of time.
Lighting Imbue - Reduces the enemies Parry Ratio which you can do more damage to them over time.
Fire Imbue - Once the enemy is Burned, the Burn effect does damage to them over a period of time.

And yes, Fire Imbue is a good choice as a Nuker. It does the most damage which is really good if you want to kill some1 faster in PvP, Its also good in PvE. And yes when you Use Imbues, it does Effect your Nukes which makes you do more damage (or so i've heard).

How far should I go with the fire imbue, max first two books or go all the way? Same question for lightning?

You should max out all the Fire Imbue books, but you should leave the Lighting Imbue alone, unless you have Extra SP for it.

It adds considerable damage based on your magical balance, the magical damage of the weapon and your must piercing force buff (in the lightning tree).

for example: start your nuke then hit imbue before the nuke releases, it also works with lion shout.

fire, cold or lightning.

by the way cold nukes add status effect without imbue, they are the only one.

Another question, once you max the first fire imbue book and open the second is there any reason to use the first book anymore?

Nooooo

Imbue works with ALL nukes, and makes a huge HUGE difference!
