I know there've been some threads about this before, but I would like another opinion on this.
First of all, I'm a pure int bowman. Yes, yes, bowman should ALWAYS go strength. The damage is not as good as a bicheon/heuksal nuker, and the defense... well, let's just say the defense is absymal compared to a tanker glavier or... even a blader.
However, my view on pure int bowman is that at lvl 32, combined with shadow-walk (ghost-walk?), a pure int bowman would be actually, quite good. I'm currently level 29, and I'll be farming for a while...
A pure int bowman, at 32, could dish out some significant damage, while with Demon Soul Arrow, has a much longer range than any of the nukes. My stance is that when fighting another pure int, such as a nuker, by the time the nuker has even started the animation for his nuke, I'll have been able to fire off two, or even three arrows, and hopefully, shoot another arrow and even, finish off the nuker.
Then, with shadow-walk, if the nuker or even str character gets too close, just shadow-walk away, and fire off again! The nukes are slow compared to the firing rate of a bow, and combined with a 3/4-arrow combo, I think this build could actually be quite effective...
And also, yesterday, I was just level 27. (Two levels in a day with the event-gold ticket and the event 30% increase, I'm NOT a bot), and I was grinding at Earth Ghosts. There was a lvl 32 bowman, presumably using a good lvl 29 bow, because he wasn't using the lvl 32 bow... and I was dishing out about 100 more damage then him (weapon skill and imbues provided).
What do you guys think?

INT bows are fast levelers. Overall, your strategy for PvP'ing other INTs seems reasonable, but what happens when you come across a STR character? You're just like a spear nuker with less power and a s/s nuker without the defense. However, don't forget that you can play your character the way you want. Nobody else's opinions have to affect your judgment.

Your right about less power than a spear nuker. But to compensate, I have a longer range than a spear nuker.
As far as a s/s nuker... I'll do alot more damage than them, and my defense will be lower... my plan is just to kill them before they can even hit me
even though I know that that's not entirely reasonable...
Also, another question. I've noticed that most int characters don't put too many points into weapon moves. But, alot of the moves that are pacheon are pretty useful. For example, 2-arrow combo, leads to 3-arrow combo, leads to 4-arrow combo... for the different books. And the higher the level of my weapon mastery, the mroe damage I do. Like, with book two of Antidevil, I do about 200 more damage than maxed book 1... and I'm pure int.
So is it useful to get weapon skills?

If the weapon skills serve your purpose, then it is definitely useful. But it eats up SP like crazy, which is one reason INTs don't invest a lot in them, along with weapon skills being physical. I do see your point with the arrow combo, though. If you have enough SP, then go for it. Every bit of extra phys. attack power helps even an INT character.

pure int bowers would suck in my opinion, skills take long to charge, but as you mentioned, you can ghost walk away, but have you forgotten, just about 99% of the players have ghost walk too? by the time your charging your strong bow anti devil, your either on the floor by Kd, or stunned, which means you die anyway...
so yea, this build wouldnt work :/
