A sos weapon is more expensive than a normal one, its because its much better. A lvl 16 sos weapon is better than a normal lvl 21 weapon. And theres only sos weapons at lvl 1, 8, 16, 24,32, 42, 52, 64.
And to the skills, read mKaaru's guide, its cool.
How to sp farm? Get a 9 gap or less. Then u wont lvl fast but u will gain many sp's. You can like have your skills at lvl 7 and your char at 16 and then u will get like 0 xp and 100k sp if u go on for a while. :P

An SOS item is equivalent to an item with stats 5 levels above it, or just +5.
It doesn't do anything special other than that.

personally i do tend to find them a bit overratted (sos items that is)
i mean unless i find one, i see no need to spend so much on a weapon.

Also its best to have a 10lv mastery gap...so say if your lv39..then your
higest mastery should be lv29, this way you level up slowly. But gain more
sp.

Also its best to SP farm at either a low lv or a high lv.

The max gap you should have is 9. After that, you get the same EXP/SP ratio.
