Archer Skill Sequences

Post by ginny »

What are the most effective order to activate archer skills to maximize damage over to and for efficiency?

I am certain there are better ways to do this. As your imbue gets longer more skills can be activated before re-imbuing.

What is working for you all and please include exactly how many skills you get before imbue at your level to complete the sequence. Some combinations I am sure are best for quick kills and others for giants.

Anti-devil+Imbue+Arrow Combo (repeat)

Anti-devil+Imbue+Berserker+Arrow Combo (repeat)

Strongbow+Imbue+it took so long to activate I forgot the rest ^^

Your combinations look fine. Although for all your opening moves, make sure you activate your imbue at the very last second before the skill launches, that way you can maximize your imbue time. For example, SB takes a while to launch right? Well activate your imbue a little past the half way point. 3rd book imbue lasts long enough for me to get a SB, zerker arrow and quad shot in before the imbue dies.

So
1. SB, wait a while, imbue, zerker arrow and then quad shot.
2. Zerker arrow, imbue, antidevil and quad shot.
3. Antidevil 3, imbue, antidevil 2, and quad shot.

The first sequence is for champs and giant openers. The second sequence is for cave grinding because multiple mobs come at your at once, or two mobs are close together. The last sequence is for pvp or when you need a good amount of damage in a short amount of time because of the crits. Usually the imbue lasts long enough for one or two extra normal hits if need be, I think I can get a trip shot in with most of those sequences if I really needed it.

Hope that helps,

for yuor arrows combos, as long as the combo starts in imbue all arrows will have imbue dmg.

also its usually best to use yuor arrows combos ata different time through my experience.

like: antidevil, imbue at last moment, arrow combo4,3 (or 3,2 i guess), zerker arrow. it'll all fit in one imbue, guarenteed  i find it best to send most of yuor inbmue doing smaller attacks and the beggining and end with charge attacks so that yuor spending as little time of the imbue as possible doing nothing productive in yuor imbue.

Do you think it is better to use Anti Dev 1 with Anti Dev 2 over Multi Arrow 2 or 3?

Example:

anti dev2+imbue+anti dev1+arrow3

OR

anti dev2+imbue+arrow3+arrow2

I am just not sure how to determine which skills are the better bang for the buck: damage relative to mana and activation time.

Since we have old books as we get new ones, it is kind of hard to know whether to scrap the old books or work them in.

Arrow 3 atks in the same amount of time as anti 1 though iirc, anti 1 does better average damage (excluding chance to crit) for the first couple of levels of arrow 3. So take note of the average damage of arrow3, when it surpasses anti 1, replace it. With my archer, I was doing anti3, anti2, anti3, anti2 etc until arrow4 surpassed anti2 in average damage (arrow4 and anti2 also take the same amount of time to be completed).

What skill you use is also situational, if your first anti leaves the mob with low hp, use arrow 3/4, you'll be able to cancel the animation with another skill if the mob dies after the first arrow or 2 thus saving you time.

Edit: Take note, arrow combos kill your durability faster. So on long grinds, if your weapon has low max durability, it may be better to just stick to the antis.

Once you get third book of antidevil and second book of berserkr arrow, you might try on certain mobs:

antidevil3(@mob#1) + imbue -> arrowcombo (@mob#2) -> berserkr2 (@mob#2) -> berserkr1(@mob#1or2)

Suitable mobs: fast melee monsters (like mujigis, pennons, yettis, power earth ghosts...)
Result: 2 dead mobs per 1 imbue used. ( in case mob # 1 is still alive, wolf or burn effect will finish work for you)

Cant wait for berserkr book 3 ^^

Sounds about right.

Anti devil + arrow combo (to apply burn) + Berserk
However half the time i crit anti devil, then its just ->
Anti devil + arrow combo = dead

Ugh.. And on giants i do, strong bow and zerking right before it fires.
But thats just because i dont have devil arrow yet :D

Anyway thats what i do :)

This may sound unconventional by activating fire imbue first, but on weaker mobs, I start with fire imbue then activate multi arrow to burn it, after that I use anti-devil and that would finish easily. Well, the reason I do this is because if you have a black hawk, it will aggro the mob before you anti-devil finishes loading and well, it's good to have the burn damage done ahead instead having it start after anti-devil. Keep in mind, this is only on the weaker mobs that will get killed in this combo.
